@jcr13 Is there any way to set it up so that the player has the standard 30 secs to respond, but the Controller has as much time as they need to set up the next scene? Ie, the ability to manually hit a button to send a scene to the player thats not on a timer? Thanks
i know you can make a lot of this stuff ahead of time, but how are you supposed to do all this stuff in 30 seconds if the player does something you haven't anticipated? (like if you didn't know they'd jump in the pond).
@xPhalx I guess you have a couple options. All these scenes you can make ahead of time, so when you do have a player playing with you, you can just plop them in. The second option is to work really fast and sloppy. Or the third option is you could just not let them dive in.
@xPhalx No idea. I guess you'd have to be REALLY fast for completely new stuff. I guess you're not supposed to exactly make new levels on the fly, or if you do... they'd have to be really simple.
Yeah, there are a lot of things you can do to make the head stick out. Say, make the surface of the water a little bit lower (half a square) so the head sticks out. Or move the farmer's sprites half a square up (above the base or whatever) in the object editor. (This latter option can make this a little weird when the farmer steps out of the water--he'll be floating a half square above the ground--but I don't think your player will shun you forever if you make little mistakes like that.)
@CoolTrumbullDad I don't actually own the game so when I saw that you can edit objects using sprites in the new tutorial video I then thought about moving the head down or up :P

It is possible, but i think you have to give both players equal amonts of time. I know for a fact you can at least increase it up to 90 seconds.

Great tutorial! Even if I don't own the game it really teases me to get it :D
One thing I wonder is why we can't float on the water with our head sticking out?
Doesn't really matter though, its just my opinion ;)
Good work!

@spyjosh249 Who said you can't? But you need a sprite with only the floating head

@spyjosh249 You can float with your head sticking out if you want, it's just Jason that didn't like it if the character was able to do that

@Bananablob I saw that it was his choice in the matter, and I just have my own :)
