  • Jeff's skating is pure. So beautiful. Yes, he should have won but he won the big prize a month later at 2008 Worlds.

  • Stunningly seamless transitions...definitely one of the best short programs I've seen.

  • quality.

  • woahhhhh he travels a lot on his spinss.

  • I miss Buttle in competitions. He's such a hoot to watch everytime =)!

  • Great interpretation and artistry!

  • woowa...

  • I WAS AT THIS EVENT WITH BASICALLY

EVERYONE FROM MY SKATing CLUB! :D

    awesome performance

  • Wow! I love Jeffrey Buttle! I met him and got his autograph and got to skate with him! Also I met Patrick Chan!

  • AMAZING!

  • batiboy

  • you if you listen at 0:30 you can hear

"I love you Jeffrey!" then "I LOVE YOU MORE!!!!"

  • i think jeff should've won instead of patrick i mean sure patrick did do more jumps but there's no denying it, jeff's amazing the way he just flows on the ice it's just so beautiful to watch him skate. sure patrick might've landed more difficult jumps but come on jeff is clearly better

  • But Patrick is still competing and sadly the same can't be said for Jeff....

Plus you just can't fight the new system, Patrick won fair and square

  • i absolutely love jeffrey buttle!! but i mean, patrick's skating skills and flow are equal to jeffs. so when patrick landed more jumps, it was clear patrick should have been the new champion

and hey come on, jeff's coach even said part of the reason he won worlds was because patrick beat him, so I'm glad patrick chan won :)!

  • He moves like a dream!

  • Good Program!! :D

  • パーソナルベストだ!!!

  • wtf?

"was it me or did i just see

a monkey jump off his back there?"

    ...

    -_-

was that supposed to be funny?

  • Did he win this competition?

  • no he lost to patrick chan, unfortunately.

  • His facial expression at the beginning is goofy.

  • i was just thinking the same thing

  • If he can do two quad salchows (he has one planned for Four Continents) and his other jumps cleanly, he has a great chance of winning the World Championships this year!

  • clearly he didnt need those quads ;) ahahah

  • really glad he didn't, because if he fell, it would've ruined the magic he created that night in Sweden

the artistry in the figure skating world has been sucked out since buttle and lambiel left...we're now left with only patrick chan as the only true artists, with lysacek, weir, and takahashi being semi-artists with a technical focus in their programs - the rest are just jumpers

  • haha couldnt have said it better myself :) his worlds program still gives me chills every time i watch it. The only other programs that has done that to me are patrick chans national short program, and shizuka arakawa when she won worlds! (L)

but yes, i completely agree. It seems as if the artistry is sub par these days. I think it all started with evgeny plushenko's olympics...I think Lysacek has strong performance, but thats it. And I agree, Patrick Chan is the best in the world for PCS
