The holes are to adjust the spring tension which allows a person to level the tremolo parallel to the body (essential when changing gauge). Almost ALL high end guitars have tung oil finish on the back of the neck (shitty guitars ALWAYS have caked on shiny necks). Pickups are one of the most simple devices ever created.  It's most likely the 3-way switch. Pickups are expensive only because 99.9% of guitarists have no clue how they work and are suckers for sexy logos. Output, not brand, is it.

This probably won't make any difference, cause this video is almost 2 years old, so you probably have already changed the pick ups by now, but why not try to put different ones this time? I don't know man I think it's just kind of a waste to have two guitars that sound the same

wiring problem with the pickups, it's pretty evident. that brand is really good but they're unknown, much of bc rich have them, and other brands. a guitar with emg's will sound almost like another diferent guitar with emg's. if you fix the wiring you'll see the change, but don't blame that brand because it's unknown

the sound problem is probably not the pickups (although they do suck) but it sounds like a wiring problem, unless the guitar was dropped, then it could be a broken coil

the slits in the trmelo cover is for on the fly adjustments to the tremelo so you can reach the spring claw screws, and people actually pay more for a satin finish cause your hand won't stick to the neck when it gets sweaty

the holes in the plate at the back are so you can get a screwdriver at the screws to adjust the tension of the springs. for setup and whatnot.

hey damien, the problem with your bridge pick up, its in the selector, not in the pick up itself, try using some contac cleaner, im sure it will solve your problem, that happened to me too in other guitars.

i just got the Dark Arts Warlock a couple of days ago and noticed the floyd rose says 'licenced under floyd rose patients' and on the bc rich website it says it comes with an origenal floyd, not a licenced!!!! is the one on your's licenced or origenal????

Cool video. I thought it was actually really funny about how you were ranting about the Warlock and I agree with you 99% on the problems you discussed. (Not that you were trying to be funny, you just were.) I think that you are pretty angry about those pickups and you truly to hate them with a passion. im surprised you didn't know why they have the holes in the tremolo cover. It's to tighten or loosen the claw screw so you don't have to remove the cover each time you need to adjust your trem angle.

a reversed headstock improves the pressure of the stings so it has betting tuning stability (something like that), but it has a Floyd so it doesn't really need one :P.

You feel ripped off, happened to me but I got fucking X2N and Dimebucker DiMarzios and JB Simor Duncuns (spelling sorry) and the guy fucked up the wiring.

I was really pissed and felt that I did something wrong for a year, till I went to a custom shop to have it checked and they made it my favorite guitar!!!

Do go to a custom shop and have it fixed, if you can and they could turn those crappy humbuckers to something much better. :)
