All the Wiz and W.D. have to do is spent 80-90% of their points on intelligence and rest goes to vitality. Rest of the classes have to worry about balancing 3 stats for damage, health, and health recovery from globes. Why isn't health recovery from globes part of vitality is beyond me.

Coming from someone that plays Wow, I will never buy another Blizz game ever. They always end up changing your character around and nothing will ever be balanced.
@KhmerCharity If you're looking for a balanced game. I think all you need to do is go to heaven or hell. Nothing in this world is fair/balance. Only bad players thinks the game is unbalanced/unfair to some of the classes.
I thought that I remember hearing that the devs did not want us to have to stack MF/GF into our gear and instead it would be from other sources. I played for the first time since the patch today only to notice MF gear dropping. I was looking forward from getting away from MF... especially with possible issues from grouping. Overall, I do not hate the changes in patch 10 but it does seem that these new systems are counter to what Blizz was claiming weeks or months ago.
so since jay wilson talked about "fixing" all these things a few weeks ago, and most of these have been included in beta 10, does that mean the game is finally going to be released soon? i'm thinking march 2012.
the changes seem alright..the primary stats are logical ..the salvage only at blacksmith seems logical (he has the tools to do it) ..identify with casting time is nice..hard to abuse town portal and skill swap are perfect..but leveling craft ONLY with gold ?..sure I like it.. it's easier..get's me items fast ..but where is the flavor in that ? just click click click ?yes it removes the risk of high prices at AH for pages of training..but still..just clikity-click-click I can make awesome stuff??

now that the scrolls of identification are gone, what the hell is the point of keeping the item identification system? If you can just right-click an item and wait 5 seconds for it to become identified... seems utterly unnecessary and a complete nuisance.
@mkim1224 Leaving items unidentified is a way to gamble, Remember the days of D2. Players will sell certain items at a flat rate, with the chance that once identified the item could be worth 3 times as much or a complete bust.
@mkim1224 I think they left it in because in Diablo 2 people would sell unique items unidentified. This made it more of a risk for the buyers and didn't risk ruining the value of the item for the seller. I think that's the reason, but I'm a diablo noob :P

@Falador321 It's not about being selfish, Blizzard has a responsibility to the fans aka the people who fund their company. In a way, we are the bosses, we're the ones who pay their salary. So like a shareholder, Blizzard should be honest in communicating with us, they should rush to get the game finished and do away with that attitude "when its done its done"

Personally, I think they need to continue taking as long as it takes for this game to be everything we expect it to be. I haven't waited 8-10 years for some half assed game that I'l play for a month or two.

I'm not saying release the damn shit because it has to be GREAT upon release but seriously... 10 years of development and already announced 5 years ago and it just feels like they are still far from delivering this game...
Unless they fix the jewelcrafter, it looks like it became less interesting as he looses usability in so many ways to the blacksmith. Upgrading gems/runes, crafting sockets and removing gems from them don't seems equally usefull in comparisson to the blacksmith's salvage, immense recipe list, "gambling" (with the crafted item randomization) and the help that the blacksmith can provide with more interesting items for new alts and even your main as he levels up to 60.
Ok whats the point of having unindentified items when you can just right click to indentify them? I mean it's just a useless step to see what stats an item has. My opinion is the item drop / loot system needs to be revised. Instead we still get the same old a ton of items on the ground after a fight thing.
@SupaMV blizzard said they don't want to remove the "unwrap the present" feeling that players have when they find a special item. Identifying a rare or legendary provides player with that surprise feeling.
I see this only working for the first couple of times. That's why I said it's the drop system that has to change for this to work. when you have a full inventory of magical and rare items the "unwrap present" thing looses it's effect. But if items don't drop so often and when you do get a magical,rare,legendary drop then I can see this being exiting.
@SupaMV Itens that need to be identified will not drop often. Only rares(yellow) and legendary(orange) itens needs identification, blues don't. It will be very unlikely that you will have your inventory full of rares.
I wasn't saying the scroll of indentify is a good thing it was actually annoying in D1 and D2 but they kind of solved it in D1 with the indetify spell / default skill and in D2 with Cain.
@SupaMV I'm happy the scroll of identify is gone but unidentified items aren't. The reason the 'useless step' is important to me is for trading unidentified items with those whom ran the dungeon with me for other unidentified items. It seems like it would be fun to be like ok, ill trade you an axe for an offhand.
@BipolarStoner420 Then you can call making Bosses almost Hard 'useless' because you will kill them anyway and get the loot :P Scrolls gave some soul to the game..
You make a good point with this. When trading with players you play for the first time with I can see this working. You could get a far better item you traded and vice-versa
i still hate that the scroll of identity is removed. Its a much better feeling to use the scroll to see what an item's stats are instead of seeing your guy right click and channel it. Just my opinion. If anything, they should keep the scroll of identify in the game for old time's sake.
I think that pretty much all the changes are positive. The cube, cauldron being gone is bad in a way but brings back the 'old-school' style gameplay of running back to town. The altar is gone which is amazing because it sucked! A ton of balance changes and the identifier gone are good too.
@magic666z Clicking on a few points every level is definitely the difference between noob and pro. We definitely know how easy this game is based off 1/3 of act 1 on the first difficulty.

@mkim1224 I think they left it in because in Diablo 2 people would sell unique items unidentified. This made it more of a risk for the buyers and didn't risk ruining the value of the item for the seller. I think that's the reason, but I'm a diablo noob :P

@Falador321 It's not about being selfish, Blizzard has a responsibility to the fans aka the people who fund their company. In a way, we are the bosses, we're the ones who pay their salary. So like a shareholder, Blizzard should be honest in communicating with us, they should rush to get the game finished and do away with that attitude "when its done its done"

I don't even pay attention to the "updates" or "beta testings" or "blizzcon". Thats why time in the last few years has passed by so fast for me - I never desperately waited for Diablo 3. Maybe you did and thats why youre angry. With that said, I am fine with any delay. And I love every Blizzard game ive played.

If a company takes long and delivers a bad product, of course it'll have a bad reputation. Blizzard on the other hand has always taken time and always given top quality product that was worth the wait.
If a customer is sick and tired because a game is not being released when they'd like it too, they need to have better things to do with their time. Who gets sick and tired because a game isn't released? I can't empathize with that.

Its is so boring. . I lost my interest in diablo3... the hype is gobne and idk any mnore. .there is much more interesting thins to do than waiting for stupid game. Unless they fix the jewelcrafter, it looks like it became less interesting as he looses usability in so many ways to the blacksmith. Upgrading gems/runes, crafting sockets and removing gems from them don't seems equally usefull in comparisson to the blacksmith's salvage, immense recipe list, "gambling" (with the crafted item randomization) and the help that the blacksmith can provide with more interesting items for new alts and even your main as he levels up to 60.

Ok whats the point of having unindentified items when you can just right click to indentify them? I mean it's just a useless step to see what stats an item has. My opinion is the item drop / loot system needs to be revised. Instead we still get the same old a ton of items on the ground after a fight thing.

I see this only working for the first couple of times. That's why I said it's the drop system that has to change for this to work. when you have a full inventory of magical and rare items the "unwrap present" thing looses it's effect. But if items don't drop so often and when you do get a magical,rare,legendary drop then I can see this being exiting.

@SupaMV Itens that need to be identified will not drop often. Only rares(yellow) and legendary(orange) itens needs identification, blues don't. It will be very unlikely that you will have your inventory full of rares.

I wasn't saying the scroll of indentify is a good thing it was actually annoying in D1 and D2 but they kind of solved it in D1 with the indetify spell / default skill and in D2 with Cain.

The reason the 'useless step' is important to me is for trading unidentified items with those whom ran the dungeon with me for other unidentified items. It seems like it would be fun to be like ok, ill trade you an axe for an offhand.

i still hate that the scroll of identity is removed. Its a much better feeling to use the scroll to see what an item's stats are instead of seeing your guy right click and channel it. Just my opinion. If anything, they should keep the scroll of identify in the game for old time's sake.

I think that pretty much all the changes are positive. The cube, cauldron being gone is bad in a way but brings back the 'old-school' style gameplay of running back to town. The altar is gone which is amazing because it sucked! A ton of balance changes and the identifier gone are good too.
