It sounds a lot like Doyle Bramhall (Sr.) on vocals. Doyle & Stevie hung out, played/wrote music together & sang very similar. I've heard Denny Freeman play guitar a lot like this too. I'm not saying that this is Doyle & Denny; just that they are all great with similarities. I highly suggest you check out Doyle Bramhall & Denny Freeman also if you have not yet. I love them all. R.I.P Stevie.
This is def. SRV singing, and it sounds like the Cobras also. However, who is playing the piano?Denny Freeman sometimes played the keys but doesnt sound like Denny's piano to me- too many notes.
list.en 2 the song...... u can try 2 get me back baby w/all ur tricks&charm,.emptyArms sounds just likeit. i dont know why i responded but u can tell thats definitely SRV.
Doyle Bramhall helped SRV w/ singing. Check Doyle out some time you can hear similarities, Not comparing the two, just saying that's what the historians say and I agree. When Lou Ann left the band SRV stepped up!
I been listening a long time to SRV. This is definitely his pronunciations of several key words... The words in "Dahlin'... tears come down like rain" notice the slight rasp on "rain' and "vain". ... then notice that the solos always alternate with the vocals, a sure sign that the player is singing.
um I could pick stevies voice a mile away, it's him. I would put my fave strat on the line for it. No DOUBT, this is Lil stevie (not SRV) he hadn't started calling himself stevie ray vaughan yet. I am certain its him. Enjoy
Anybody know what album this is from? or any other similar cobras song's little stevie's really gets cookin on this one!

It may be Mike Kindred on piano/keys. He's a monster too. Handstand is a great album. See him live if you ever have the opportunity.
