  • Anybody know what album this is from? or any other similar cobras song's little stevie's really gets cookin on this one!

  • Cold Shot was written by Mike Kindred.

  • @richsegura he co-wrote it with WC Clark

  • It may be Mike Kindred on piano/keys. He's a monster too. Handstand is a great album. See him live if you ever have the opportunity.

  • It sounds a lot like Doyle Bramhall (Sr.) on vocals. Doyle & Stevie hung out, played/wrote music together & sang very similar. I've heard Denny Freeman play guitar a lot like this too. I'm not saying that this is Doyle & Denny; just that they are all great with similarities. I highly suggest you check out Doyle Bramhall & Denny Freeman also if you have not yet. I love them all. R.I.P Stevie.

  • Yep he was 21 years old in 1975 and yes that is Stevie singing

  • This is def. SRV singing, and it sounds like the Cobras also. However, who is playing the piano?Denny Freeman sometimes played the keys but doesnt sound like Denny's piano to me- too many notes.

  • LOVE you Stevie Ray Vaughan R.I.P. ANGEL you will ALWAYS be a live in my heart ♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • it,s him alright,

  • This is weird, this can't be him singing in 75. But If it is, lord have mercy.

  • its him y'all 'well......"

  • list.en 2 the song...... u can try 2 get me back baby w/all ur tricks&charm,.emptyArms sounds just likeit. i dont know why i responded but u can tell thats definitely SRV.

  • you're right, if you slow it down its stevie. great pics bluesvaughan!!

  • It is Stevie....... its a bootleg tape recorded too fast, thats why his voice sounds so high

  • Doyle Bramhall helped SRV w/ singing. Check Doyle out some time you can hear similarities, Not comparing the two, just saying that's what the historians say and I agree. When Lou Ann left the band SRV stepped up!

  • _That_ is Stevie, no question about it.

  • I been listening a long time to SRV. This is definitely his pronunciations of several key words... The words in "Dahlin'... tears come down like rain" notice the slight rasp on "rain' and "vain". ... then notice that the solos always alternate with the vocals, a sure sign that the player is singing.

I'd put my reputation on it... If I had one...

  • by the way, if you want to see whether or not I am a reliable source, my name is brett wood and you can youtube my name. I am a lefty :)

  • um I could pick stevies voice a mile away, it's him. I would put my fave strat on the line for it. No DOUBT, this is Lil stevie (not SRV) he hadn't started calling himself stevie ray vaughan yet. I am certain its him. Enjoy

  • @snuffalupagous Word!

  • Stevie was the guitar player for the Cobras,he never really sang till Stevie's 'Triple Trouble' with Lou Barton turned into 'Double Trouble' with SRV

  • i dont think this is a early stevie singing but im not sure. It sound like his singing style being developed. If anyone knows can you let me know
