Another great legend Maqbool Ahmed Sabri has sadly passed away yesterday. He was the lead singer in qawwali from the legendary Sabri Brothers. They produced many top hits during their amazing lifetime. I pray that Allah grants him/his brother countless blessings and a high place in Jannah Firdaus. Ameen
Beautiful images, set to one of my favorite pieces. It is such a shame that the Sabri Brothers aren't more well known here in the States, and that their music is getting so much harder to find. It is transcendent, ecstatic. They were truly masters of Qawwali.
yaah true, but u see turkish ppl or iranian ppl to be proud of their own culture and they involvce every thing iranian or arab or indonesian or central asian and they are most proud of it, so should we as a pakistani and sub continental, i feel a lot proud in my culture, i appreciate every islamic art but i love my heritage too, thats what i am talkin abt
@tiad. I am very much fond of this qawwali, could you plz post or send a link of the first part and remaining part of this qawwalis. i m waiting for ur response desparately.
@tiad Thank you for this post. I have the album, and this is my favorite. Since Youtube has a restriction on time, I would suggest keeping the track intact from the beginning, and letting it cut off the end. Especially in the case of qawwalis, and especially this one, the intro of which is absolutely sublime. I think it detracts from the piece as a whole to cut off the beginning. Just my humble opinion. :)

i hope no turk ever reads that filthy message you wrote. Such piggish mentality like yours does not represent us sub continent muslims...
prophet muhammad (s) said the umman is like a bundle of sticks, 1 stick is easily broken, but a bundle of sticks remain strong!

the background is awful, as the qawwali has sub continent taste, anyways,
jadu hai is awaaz main, wagad tari ho jaata hai sun ker, mashallah

I think u meant to say that the background is awesome because the qawwali has sub continent taste. =P

Yes. Unfortunately a track or clip is limited to 10 minutes on youtube. So I cut the beginning.

A masterpiece of quawwali from the Album "Ya Habib". Pictures are mainly from Ayasofya (Istanbul, Turkey). Listen & Enjoy it.
