I'm sorry to say but dirt devils or dust devils, whatever you wish to call them, are a small classification of tornado. Twisters are tornadoes and so are dust devils. They are just what would be classified as just below F1.
Yeah these things are harmless (cept to car paint jobs), you can tell this one wasnt even that strong considering how weakly it tossed that umbrella canopy which weighed at max maybe 10 pds
It's not a Tornado It's still dangerous but not a tornado it's a small mild twister they do occur some times when you play in the dirt as in the soccer game are the on dirt in it? cause if so then it was just so much dust kicked up from playing the game that it formed quickly but they did the right thing on ducking to the ground because it's still powerful and will knock you off your feet I have been in one of those and they do knock you off your feet and toss you around.

See a tornado has to have a wall cloud, or it won't touchdown. but, it was weird to gain that much volume in that little time....... hmmm..... anyways, cool vid and funny they're all like ahhhhh!!!

No it isn't. By definition a tornado must connect to both the ground and the cloud base of a storm. Dust devils are only in contact with the ground.
