On newer John Deeres there is a knob just to the left of the steering column marked "turbo adjustment". It doesn't do anything except make the owner feel better about spending extra money for green paint.

@MrJakediesel nothing really, all old IH diesels blew smoke because they have no AFC, so when you pull the throttle open it gives full fuel no matter what the boost is. notice how the smoke clears as the turbo spools.

When I was a kid my friends farm had a 1206 Turbo. My friend could shift the gears on that thing and get it to wheelie going (fast) down the road by using the torque amplifier. We were 14 yrs old at that time. Young and dumb!

@autopowr yes it is 6 cyl, 361 ci, turbo charged, stock hp is about 112, but this ones turned up to 130 ish.

@Smiley1256 you can either turn the pump up or turn the turbo up so it cranks out more diesel into the motor which makes more soot when it bogs down
