  • Micheal Shure is such a god damned pussy. Don't fucking fly if you are afraid of terrorism you fucking bitch! It shouldn't be don't fly if you aren't willing to give up your civil liberties.

  • Yeah, they are looking for "implants" all right... but think about WHO else would put an implant into a body besides a supposed "terrorist..." ... think deeply about the only other time you have probably heard of small "implants" being placed inside of human bodies... there's your answer to what the TSA is looking for... may be too far outside of your grasp for reality, but really isn't too much off target with what exactly is going on here.. see "ufos on 9/11" videos to connect the dots

  • the argument isn't that it's an inconvenience, it's that it's WRONG to treat EVERYONE as a potential terrorist and remove all semblence of personal integrity in the process. how about mandatory cavity searches for all passengers? if it's done efficiently and quickly, why not? don't like it, just don't fly! take the train to australia, see how that works out!

a wise man once said something about sacrificing liberty for temporary security, remember that one michael?

  • id rather be groped then blown up, quit whinging, jeez...

  • TSA--beware of the butt-hole-bomber!

  • I'd rather get a longer checkup when going through airport security than get myself blown out of the sky.

  • Maybe people are surgically implanting bombs into their own bodies!! Oh wait, no, that would be retarded because numerous objects you can freely take on a plane could act as weapons. A laptop battery, for instance, could produce a sizeable explosion if it was shorted. God the TSA are stupid.

  • @MetaBasketCase really?

  • @guywith2names Really. A typical laptop battery contains roughly the same amount of energy as a grenade. The only difference is that under normal conditions the battery dissipates the energy at a much lower rate. All you'd have to do is short circuit it to get a pretty large explosion.

  • @MetaBasketCase but not powerful enough to create a whole lot of damage

  • @geekforlifevandc I've argued with people about this, but never reached a satisfying conclusion. A decent, fully charged laptop battery contains a surprisingly huge amount of energy. The only question is how quickly you could dissipate that energy by shorting it out. I'm pretty sure someone could do some serious damage to a plane, but obviously I don't want to try it

  • @MetaBasketCase first of all laptop batteries have cells inside now each with a protective circuit that wont allow it to short circuit plus lithium ion batteries have a quite high resistance which is another variable in the size of the explosion second of all lead acid batteries that contain 25% sulfuric acid arnt allowed on commercial flying planed unless in the secondary luggage most ni-mh batterie packs have fuses and by themself ull need a lot of them to cause any damage to the plane

  • 3,000 people died because our security was too lax, our options are simple: go through the scanner, or get a pat down, or don't fly, OR fly yourself, :) good news, i know an awesome flight instructor who can teach you today!

  • @skysmine I will pick death over being molested. I would pick death over losing freedom. I would pick death over tyranny. I pick death over submission.

  • Whoever it is at the TSA that keeps parroting the idea that bombs are snuck in through carry-on luggage and on-person needs to be bitch slapped.

Any would-be terrorist would realize that all you have to do is put the bomb in the luggage that gets stowed in the cargo bay. All you have to do is hook up a cell phone detonator to a shampoo bottle of explosive chemicals in a bag with your personal effects.

The TSA *never* fucking checks luggage because that would require they actually work.

  • "Full body scanner are there cause I'm so soft." - TSA Agent Rand McNally

  • Who cares if the body scanner scans bodies? Just walk through it and move on. If Ana wants metal detectors, let it act as a supplement. Yeesh.

  • Comment removed

  • this is fucking bullshit

  • The only no-brainer here is you, Michael.

  • the full body scanners are just to see you naked

  • Take away the scanners and pat downs, I don't care if hundreds of people die, heck, I don't care if everyone in the world dies lol. BUT imagine how fun it would be to die in a crashing plane.

  • remove this michael shure guy from the internets pls

  • Terrorist Titties!

  • "It's up their butts! Pirates are paranoid! Butts chalked full of gold!" -Sealab 2021

  • It's only a matter of time before they start forcing people to strip to look inside their ass hole for bombs.

  • Fuck the TSA, they are the fucking terrorists, they have stripped us of our freedom and our constitutional rights, i hope everyone who works for them ends up unemployed

  • These TSA people are retarded. I think they are coming from a bad place. If key players are doing bad, and the rest is doing good, why is the good not trying to find the bad and remove them? Step the fuck up already and clean out the dirty roaches.

So many videos have been posted about how much people hate the new scanners.

They are just saying this shit (which could also be the original reason they installed them) so people will feel safer to go through them. It's just a ploy to calm us down

  • The only reason that douchebag thinks it's okay for TSA officials to feel you up is that he doesn't have boobs and a vagina and therefore does not get violated by those creeps.

  • @hippiechickie18 So a man cant get violated by a creep you sexist pig?

  • @crackerkiller89 owned. lol

  • when i read bomb implants i thought the terrorists were tryna weaponize the B(.)(.)BIES lol

  • Everyone's already 8x more likely to be shot by a cop than attacked by a terrorist, look it up. We don't need more of this bull shit.

  • Wow, TYT, really doesn't get it, everyone keeps talking about how the bombs will be detected by metal detectors... what about non-metal bombs?

C4 plastic explosive for example could be rigged with no metal wiring and you could easily implant it in someone. So Ana getting hung up on metal detectors being enough is really an outmoded way of thinking. Is it intrusive, Sure, but it keeps hundreds of people safe! We could scale back to pre-metal detector days too, but we'd have more hijackings.

  • sorry but this time I gotta disagree fully with you TYT. I don't think they have the intent to get their employees off. but it's just simply unecessary and against my rights.

  • hay heres an idea , why dont we focus on stoping the roots of terrorism? like poverty and the occupation of foreign countries. instead of using inefficient and invasive screening techniques.

  • Does anybody else get the feeling someone at the TSA high-ups just watched The Dark Knight for the first time?

  • The TSA is meant to train the American ppl to accept check points & to michaels point google TSA VIPER teams or the TSA at high school prom they are coming on the streets they violate our rights irradiate ppl & have NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER caught anyone

  • If your a terrorist just work for the TSA they do the best job

  • im sorry but if terrorists wanted to hurt amercia again they wouldnt do it on a plane, they would just bomb the airport

  • Michael is dead wrong on this. The 19 enemies got into planes and killed 3000 people and broke a lot of stuff. We responded by going after the group that did it, makes sense. We also went after random other people and had "collateral damage" in the 90% range and started treating all airline passengers like criminals. We did kill a few hundred thousand people in the area of the world they were from (NOT in the country where they were from). I avoid flying as much as possible

  • ana needs to know her place. thumbs up if u agree

  • This country is so fucked.

It doesn't make sense to even try to stop this shit anymore.

  • Pure motives. Right. That's exactly why I always get leered at and "randomly picked" for pat-downs while my mother, whom I often fly with, gets waved straight through.

  • checking anyone with tan skin and brown eyes, dark hair specially would not onbly be wrong, it would not help at all. they have enough radicals coming from european ect countries by now. im pretty sure the next time they want to do "a big thing" they will use guys from sweden with blond hair, blue eyes and pale skin as they'll be let thrue security with no problem

  • I was travelling over the border by car today at the canadian - american niagara falls border and was pulled over and was xrayed

  • Fear=Control.

One of the universal truths both terrorists and the US corporate-goverment understand.

  • When will they figure out that if someone really wants to take down a plane, its not that fucking hard.

  • I wonder if you could smuggle a ceramic knife through a metal detector? Food for thought terrorists. Even so it's not like airport security has done us much good, if someone was really determined to smuggle explosives onboard they could still pull it off.

  • @JACKtheRIPP3R189 Or a shiv. a knife made from a plastic toothbrush. I'm sure that could get through.

  • I agree with Michael. What if an individual just happened to sneak in something by pure luck or chance and he or she hijacks the plane. What are the people that complain about TSA going to say? Why didn't you inspect him!?

see? people stop complaining about this! it's all for our security!

  • @Grone4ever89 - hey Einstein. The TSA has NEVER caught anyone. The TSA has caught ZERO terrorists.

ZIP, nothing, o, goose egg. TSA's record is ZERO,

    Get it?

They missed the 19 hijackers - why do think they would catch anyone else? They have NOT caughter anyone.

  • @fangorn23 cause there's such things as ceramic knives that someone could hide under fat or boobs

  • HOW ABOUT USING BOTH BODY SCANNERS AND METAL DETECTORS.

Anything that gets in between the TSA's grabby little hands and our bodies is a good thing at this point. As far as I'm concerned, getting an "advanced pat-down" from a TSA agent is comparable to getting your ass groped by a pervert.

We have so much scanning technology, and we're not using the most effective scanning tech right now. So, WHY are we still groping people to find out if they're hiding a razor in their tits??

  • If this security is needed, why is flying the only mode of transportation it's used for? Hours of waiting and invasive security are not minor inconveniences.

Random security checks work as a deterent. The no fly list might be fine if there was a better method for putting people on and taking them off the list. But what other techniques actually work?

No amount of security will EVER be enough to stop someone commited to terrorism from getting through.

  • Terrorists look for easy targets. Hijacking a plane or blowing up a plane has become more difficult because of the TSA. FACT.

Now with that said, they should make a NEW airline where everybody just buys their ticket and gets right on the plane. No fuss, no bag checks and no bullshit. Just some dude waving a metal detecting wand around.

I think "Mid-Air Explosion" would be an adequate name for the airline.

  • the people who are best at detecting terrorist are not the ones who check everybody that is inefficient and raises the chances they will miss an actual terrorist.

  • Who is making money on this? Things don't get this insane without a profit motive.

  • @robinvik1 The former head of the TSA went to the US Congress & stated that the scanners were essential to keeping air travel safe. He had a vested interest in one of the companies that manufacture the scanners and is currently a sales rep for them. The ironic thing is that Israel has the safest most intense airport security (for good reason) and they tried the scanners and didn't feel they were necessary or added anything positive to security. go figure

  • "You go through a metal detector". LOL... Wow Ana are you serious? Nitrates, C-4, semtex, etc contain absolutely no metal. You have to do more research because you are starting to sound like a correspondent from Fox News. Michael Shure is right on. The layers are the most important aspect any kind of security. In all honesty the Young Turks are slowly losing their creditibility.

  • @uchimeo

    Enjoy your mandatory cavity search.

  • This is such nonsense. TSA hasn't gone far enough?

By the way, if you want to kill people, you don't have to do it on a plane. You could kill people in a mall.

  • how are they going to enforce it? thats a lot of boobs . . . o.o

  • i personally rather get felt up and go through more searches than to blow up in the air , get of TSA's back , its their policy u dont like it dont fly

  • The motive is all about selling more scanners. They could careless about catching terrorists.

Someone asked me about targeted search, it's not about racial profiling. It's about behavior and psychological targeting.

If you have a bomb planted up your ass, you are not going to behave like a normal person.

  • Thumbs down for the male presenters moronic, bend over and take it stance.

  • Those who would give up freedom for a little security deserve neither - Ben Franklin

  • @dragon8me2 That would describe the action of the dimwitted "male presenter".

  • Totally disagree with Michael here.

  • All this is the TSA making another excuse to award another multi-billion dollar contract to some company that makes these screening machines. The machine will most likely be made in China.

  • I usually agree with Michael but what he said was a load of crap. TSA is going too far. And it's not a small percentage of people who are complaining about going through airport security. Everybody I know hates it. The only ones who don't mind are paranoid republicans. And he says don't fly? Trust me if I could for example get from USA to UK on a boat within 7 hours i would take that instead. But airplanes have become a must nowadays.

  • QUICK SHE'S GOTTA GUN UP HER ASS!!!!!!

  • TSA is so paranoid now. it has become such a headache to fly.

  • Michael Shure.

  • I love the facts you make up. "It's safer to fly, than it was....apparently." Let's keep it real.

  • jeez i fuckin hate mike.... WHERES CENK?

  • @TheCloudfart Better than Ben.

  • because some bombs arn't made out of metal... dumbass liberal.

  • This is 0% about security and 100% about some company out to score a gizmo contract. It's advertising.

  • Their motives are NOT pure. They are stripping us of out liberties. Soon this country will resemble something out of V for Vendetta. It's an attempt to get us all to submit. Open your eyes damn it! The police state is here.

  • Look what US Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff is doing now, Chertoff personally PROFITS from Every Full Body Scanner that's sold.

    sott. net/articles/show/200210-Ex-Homeland-Security-Chief-Chertoff-Pushes-Body-Scanners-While-His-Client-Manufactures-the-Machines

  • These scanners are done so that somebody will make money, that's clear. Metal detectors is enough. The most important thing is to protect the pilots and the pilot cabin, and inside the airplane there should be random marshals with special weapons that are not going to destroy the airplane, but the most effective tool against airplane terrorism are the PASSENGERS who will KICK YOUR ASS if you try something at this point.

  • @romanmir01 I agree. One dude was killed by the passengers when he tried to"hijack" the plane he was on. TSA is not needed. In this day in age, passengers themselves will kick your ass if you try anything on a plane. Especially if there are military personnel on board because they are heading home on leave or are near the end of their service. But this isn't about security. It's about turning this country into a police state.

  • "this is for your own good"

"they are just doing your job"

    "it's only a minor inconvenience"

"they're groping little kids to be fair on the rest of us"

what the fuck michael shure ? what the fuck ?

  • TSA found a new degree of perversion . now they will officially boob grops

  • Micheal just likes being felt up. The last time he was on a plane was the best action he'd seen in a long time.

  • There are other means of weapons and such than just metal objects & explosives... There are tons of non-metal weapons, or chemicals that are hazardous. I'm not one to say who's right or wrong, but just metal detectors aren't sufficient, but then how far is too far?

  • what´s wrong with mike?

why is he playing devil´s advocat???

  • Thank God for Michael and Ana. I think I might unsubscribe if I watch another hipster valley girls video.

  • There was a case against a man who brought a handgun into prison by hiding it in rolls of fat. Shit isn't made up.

  • practice yer dialogue, fuck i feel like you guys wing it every time.

  • Mike is so naive.

  • @painet1776

    how so?

  • That new guy is a fucktard, when is Cenk back??

  • Hey Mike...

They are sexually assaulting people. They are allowed to touch you underneath your clothing, INCLUDING underwear. That goes for 6 year olds (which is a felony) and for the 95 year old cancer patients. They are allowed (neigh, ORDERED) to touch your private parts during a pat down.

Don't want that? Then they get to take naked photos.

If they then decide then need to anally probe everyone, will THAT be too far?

  • Where the fuck is Cenk?

  • May I touch your boobs ma'am .... i mean bombs ?

  • fuck i'm really sick and tired of this shit.....

  • They should pay gays extra to be TSA officials. I guarantee searches and pat downs will end in no time.

  • This guy's a moron. It's the principle of the matter, not the extra 6 minutes it takes to get felt up. The government is psychologically conditioning us to obey and give up our rights and dignity bit by bit. Like this clown said at the end, they want you to "Just do it" no questions asked.

  • Micheal Shure is a bonehead.

  • Michael is an idiot and dont know the 4th amendment obviously

  • T.S.A= Tits.Scrotum.Ass

  • You dont understand why?

Because you can make bombs out of plastic - you retards.

  • so you go through an x-ray machine and/or you get a pat down, stop being a whiny little bitch and just do it or don't fly. If a bomb went off on a plane, the same people would be bitching how the TSA didn't do their job. Damn if you do, damn if you don't.

  • I disagree with Michael. I think they're doing this to exploit people, and since this WAS developed by the Bush regime, the Republicans can further the scanning into the soon-to-be police nation that America is heading into.

  • So the full body scan doesn't see shit covered by fat? That's kinda worthless. I mean, I thought of the sowing bombs into yourself a looong time ago, seriously don't get why they didn't try that ages ago.

Use the mice, insanely accurate, & don't bother anyone.

  • They do not set off metal detectors because they aren't made of metal, a lot of high explosives aren't metallic.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree with ana sooner or later they will abuse it and most people will give it up without a fight benjamin franklin said those that give up essential liberty to obtain temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

  • i wear an insulin pump and i get patted down and even hand checked almost every time i go through TSA. they go through all this effort and they don't even know what a god damn insulin pump looks like?

  • T & A agents.

  • I like it when Michael stands his ground and backs up his opinion with a concise argument.

  • When US continue to bomb middle east on a daily basis to control their oil fields, It fills the next generation of middle eastern people's vein with hatred and will forever come up with more elaborate ways to terrorize America. I bet if America pulls out all of interventions in the middle east, stop threatening other nations with nukes and actually do fair business with the middle east, terrorist attacks will decrease.

  • @thirtyoneuniform "This has been flagged as spam". Out of sympathy, I will click the "Not Spam" button for you, ok? There you go, tiger.

  • Well Obama said there would be a national security force just as well funded like our army say hello to the TSA aka national security force. How long before you will be put on a no ride list? Where you can't take public transportation at all? Unamerican? Lol talk about unamerican is Obama reinstating the patriot act which allows crap like this to happen. But whatever until people stand up and fight for there civil liberties this won't be america

  • Maybe everyone should be gassed before takeoff?

  • How long will it before the TSA forces people to strip naked before they get on a plane?

  • its proven you are 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% more likely to get molested by TSA than killed by a terrorist.

  • The TSA should be as concerned about traffic deaths.

    America is a basket case!

  • I thumbed up the last 8 comments under me :D

  • The day is coming when TSA will insist on every traveler being surgically opened up. You'll have to arrive at the airport at least a week before your flight to allow for recuperation from the procedure.

Which the medical system will not cover by insurance and cost $50,349, not including airport fees and miscellaneous taxes.

  • @forgetititititit

    Yeah, I can see that.

  • It's all about the money, Lebowski!

Budgets are being discussed and if the TSA push up their costs they wont be the target of stringent cuts.

  • How naive can you be! Lulz, TSA official are not doing this for the love of the flag. They do this because this makes them moneeeeey! how much money was spent on those scanners? Who made those scanners?? basicly.. who profits from all the security that is been added and that will be added??? FOLLOWE THE MONEY!! it always leads to the truth.

  • If terrorists really wanted to destroy America, they'd go to Harvard and get jobs on Wall Street.

  • @manonthemount they allready did

  • @manonthemount Or get elected to office.

  • @manonthemount well said!

  • @manonthemount So true and run as Republicans.

  • what a cocksucker....it was safer to fly in the 60-70 with very little security, than it is now. What a fucking retard

  • I don't like being scanned because I'm really small downstairs.

  • If i were incharge of a terroist organisation I would not even be triing to blow up plains any more I would have my agent try to get cought with boms in verious embarising to acses places just so security messues would be increased.

  • Maybe the best solution is to stop getting people ticked-off to the point of resorting to terrorism.

  • It is important to continuously question the efficacy and ethics of new security measures, but I agree with Michael: the minor inconvenience imposed by advanced security measures is well worth the added deterrence they provide against terrorist attacks. if we're going to let people ride in giant speeding missiles, we need to take every precaution within reason to discourage individuals from taking weapons on board. Not all weapons are made of metal, and not all wackos are obvious suspects.

  • oh the TSA is just boost their budget.. it's like the military during the cold war always throwing the boogie man of the soviet military ..it was all a scam to boost the industrial military complex profits by buying more and more and more weapons

  • The pics are doctored look at the first pic with clothes on and then look at where the position of the gun is on the last pic and notice the space that would be covered by the gun is not covered in picture 1. Its all bullshit to get us to give up more of our rights. Plus if your carrying a gun wouldnt the metal detector pick that shit up lets be real now.

  • This is unbelievable. I'd rather risk getting blown up than giving up my own personal liberties. Are we going to do this with everything a terroist attacks?

For God's sakes people, you're more likely to die in a car accident than you are to be killed by a god damned terrorist. Don't submit yourself to these strip search X-rays or fondling by some TSA agent. We've already lost so much of our liberty because of Bin Laden. The more we lose, the more he laughs in his grave.

  • TSA officials were probably bribed by the company that makes these machines

  • If it helps and keeps someone from having a bomb or a gun on a plane that I'm in, then I don't care what they do.

  • @Slime6six6 Thats actualy sad that you would give up your right to privacy for something that is unlikely to happen. IF shits gonna happen its gonna happen they are just getting you used to being submisive with these tactics.

  • This is so much BULL SH--IT !! More smoke and mirrors to keep the jobs !!!

How many tersest caught !!!! it is bull sh--it !!!

Your calling every American a terrorists !!!

  • Terrorists need to find real jobs. I bet it doesn't pay well, and the payoff isn't worth it.

  • Finally, there are a lot of major airports that I have been through that do not have full body scanners. How is this keeping us safe, Michael? There is obviously more to that. A few weeks ago I was up in the St. Louis arch and there was only a shitty metal detector before going up into that captive environment. Last week I was at NYC's Penn Station. I just walked right onto a bus Amtrak without a check or even someone to check my ticket. Keeping us safe? Micheal, you are a naiive necon.

  • @skeeloiii You're not "safe." You've never been "safe." You'll never be "safe." You can trade your freedoms, dignity and quality of life for the illusion of safety, if it makes you sleep better - up to you. But, do so with the knowledge that what you're gaining is illusory in nature - you're not actually obtaining any sort of actual safety.

  • In addition to that last comment, I believe I saw numerous polls showing that a good majority of Americans had a problem with the scanner -- not a few fringe fliers as Michael states.

Michael, would you have defended this infringement of civil liberties under Bush? Why under Obama? Absolutely no evidence of people hiding implants in their bodies and as Ana states, they are worthless.

  • Micheal is totally wrong in this clip. He adopts the Obama administration's justification without question since he is a Democrat.

There is no evidence that body scanners are needed. Michael likes to criticize Republicans for taking defense contractor money, but Dems take the same money and thus all it takes is someone to say the terror threat is now on red cause a corp needs more money, people like Michael wets his bed, and the administration goes on stripping civil liberties.

  • TSA wants technoligy to compensate for them using low payed low trained security personnel.

If you want to blow up a plane you start working for the airport. I dont think they really check baggage handler or even TSA workers themselves like they do passengers. This is kinda common knowledge as well so the security TSA brings in minimal vs trained terrorists.

The fact of the matter is most humans dont see the logic in killing innocent people. Thats why there are few terrorist attacks overall.

  • its like that old sitcom premise. You play a prank on someone else and they swear they'll get you back, then you're just so scared of being pranked you're screwing up your life until you realize at the end that you pranked yourself...

Also... FBI (federal boobie inspector) shirts are now legit.

  • What a load of shit from Michael Shure. Disappointing.

  • Christ, he isn't even being facetious or playing devil's advocate.

The notion that profiling is somehow MORE of a violation of civil liberties (because, after all - why follow the example of Israel who have pretty awesome security without full cavity searches) than body scanners and the wandering hands of the TSA is a joke.

Are we sure that there wasn't a technical problem and he was reading a FOX news teleprompter?

  • Get this guy off my TYT.

  • Stop showing that FAKE photo with the nude woman. That is a photoshopped version of a stock anatomy reference photo and has been debunked. The real body scanner does not magically create negatives of nude photos

  • Michael's got a bit of a slippery slope argument going. Metal detector's not enough, full body scanner isn't enough, so what will be enough? Brainwave scanners so they can read your mind for potential thoughtcrime?

  • when is Cenk getting back?

  • @HarveyGrass - YES! I want Cenk back.

  • @HarveyGrass What's wrong with Mike and Ana?

  • If we want it to be safe to fly, we need to change the foreign policy.

  • "there are hundreds of millions of people in the sky as we speak at any time" ... I wonder if he realizes how stupid that statement it.

  • @AstroViation There are rarely more than ONE million people in the air, at any one time. Still a lot of people though.

  • This is exactly why we should privatize airport security.

  • @Houshalter Wait, WHAT. How the hell would that help at all? We already see what is happening with private prisons.

  • @haloboz The airports themselves are private and no one seems to complain about that. It seems to me once a federal bureaucracy is created like the TSA, no matter how much damage it does or how incompetent it is, no one can even question it's existence.
