I like the ending and the game overall. Yeah, the story isn't handled well thanks to relying on the datalog too much making for a very confusing and convoluted experience, but I personally like the characters and the battle system. The only issues with battles are the animations when changing paradigms and leader deaths. Your commentary does show valid complaints, but one thing I do have to say: Vanille's voice actress is an actual Australian :D

Like this guys commentary of my favourite game. Though sometimes he sounds too rude. Many like at least some of the jokes he makes. The ending of this game is enough to make some cry. Love all those HD CGI cutscenes. The game is like cutscene-city.

@Vewen0000 Uhm...if Square Enix isnt capable of transporting the story to the player through about 30 hours of cutscenes and makes you read datalogs instead - because the cutscenes are too busy showing pretty, sparkly things and allowing Vanille to have a cheesy, unbearable speech every 15 minutes - it tells you one thing and one thing only: Square Enix is utterly incompetent at telling a story - at least with this game.

so Fang and vanille combine to become Ragnarock and then jumps into Gran Pulse's molten core and sends jets of lava upwards into cocoon and then turns it into crystal to forver hold cocoon up, so now all the cocoon people survived somehow and now they must rebuild basically in the middle of nowhere, the main characters are turned into crystal but Vanille frees them
