Where did this interview come from, please? I have never seen him talking before about his work, although I've read books they can never be the same as seeing the person himself. Thanks for posting this.
I couldn't agree with both comments more. It's great to be able to see these. Bergman and his colleagues were creating art that had no relation to anything normally considered "movies". Part of the genius of his work is that he never pandered or succumbed to cheap gimmicks. His was the art of story, emotion and the meaning of reality, and No One in my opinion has ever come close to his abilty to tranform how we see these things through film. Bergman can never die-
bergman considered steven spielberg to be a great auteur with strong films and positions both in his commercial and artistical ways..ejej..bergman is laughing at you in his grave with your pretentious comment...peace!
ahah...pretentious prick...ajajaj...typical answer from a non-film buff...poser!..youre just pretending you know about cinema?..ajaja..because you like bergman?..grow up kid...and next time answer like a mature person...
jajaj...what an oscure answer...as dark as many bergman films...ajajaj...youre such a poser man...ajjaja...i bet youre like an emo or something...what's next? evanescence?...
are you saying that im inmature?...ejej..youre fucked..innocent person...i quote you: I "wish you nothing but sickness and slow agonizing death. :-) "...you sound like a kid to me..my 7 year cousin says that kind of shit to his friends everyday...p.s: watch some robert altman for a change..dont get that pretentious..watch some piece of work now and then please..grow up
you're just like that piece of shit of Vilgot Sjöman...standing there...amazed at bergman's face..if bergman says that grey is the color of loneliness...the two of you go: christ..this guy god...bergman hated such kind of persons anyway..he also hated i am curious yellow ejeje
It's interesting to see how movies were made in those days and compare it to the awful CGI-packed blockbusters made this day. Michael Bay sits behind the camera and have the computer do all the stuff... Sh.t... Bergman and Nykvist were great together!
