hey sorry to be know it all, this is known as a gratzel cell, you can use natural chlorophyl pigments to generate electricity, fairly nifty, made one the other day in a phys chem lab, got current not impressive though, the normal ones are silicon based, but the production of the pure crystaline silicon is a by product of some other industry and you cant stand to make a profit producing silicone solely for solar panels,thats why these are so good, gasp jaysus that was a bit of an essay
