Yeah man. No wonder Zappa thanked him for reinventing guitar. Creativity with new sounds sure, freakin killer tone, but also his sub-division of the beat.

I feel pretty damn lucky to have seen them right up close in 82/83 on DD tour, and twice for the 1984 tour....

but I sure as hell wish I saw them in 80 and on FW tours. For all the concert docs of them from DD, a shame there is not one superb complete show from WACF and FW. At least not that has been released.

The guitar on these 5 still thrills me. re-visiting these solos is a blast. and not much is a blast at 44. BTW. have you ever played the Splawn Quick Rod? I got mine about 5 years ago. Really great modified marsh style
