He makes a good point in the end. How can one be expected to represent others with no idea who they are? That is what I love about B5 it asked the hard questions.
actually when he left B5 he implied that now that he found someone worthy of the task ahead, the Vorlons probably considered his services obsolete... ands he seemes reliefed to be able to die after 500 years. The actor Wayne Alexander did come back though... as Lorien, as Drakh, Drazi and Narn
Yes, but in this case, "I am me" was not enough for the Inquisitor. He was pushing and pushing in order to make Delenn and Sheridan really see themselves, their souls.
@dchris1990 That isnt the answer that Jack or the Vorlons are wanting though. The whole point of the question "Who are you" is to draw out your true self. What you believe you are here in the universe to do. The "who" is rhetorical.
@gribae no i am me would never work, is doesn't answer the question. who is me how do you define me and how does me lead to what i want, why am here and where i am going.
There was no answer, not really. It's all about what the ancient Greeks called "know yourself", know who you are, because otherwise your ways and actions may not be the right or correct ones.
My answer would have been: "I am a collection of my perceptions, faults, theories, hopes, dreams - and the culmination of all those placed upon me by others. I am only who I can be. I am only who I am."
I like these one on one episodes. The one with Sheridan and the interrogator is good.

I went through something quite similar. The answer to "who are you?" is/was "I am."
glomofnit 3 years ago
Simply put, no extravagent answer is required, if you think logically about the question.
"Who are you?"
"I am me." Tells someone a lot about you, without wasting words.

Q: Who are you?
A: There is no who, per se. Who I am is what I am, otherwise the who without the what is nothing.
LOL--perhaps this is why Doctor Who does not need a name . . .

wrong. You do not understand.
Torlek363 2 years ago
@arwynt but maybe saying 'i am me' is the simplistic answer that actually carries all that we can know of ourselves.... ?

there are four big questions; who are you, what do you want, why are you here and where are you going.
nesteph 4 years ago
I would say the answer would be "I am the one"

My answer would have been: "I am a collection of my perceptions, faults, theories, hopes, dreams - and the culmination of all those placed upon me by others. I am only who I can be. I am only who I am."

Who are you? The truest of the most important question that every man and woman should ask her/himself!
brav0wing 4 years ago
and a question that cannot be answered in words. You sort of know who you are, but you cannot express it in any words.
Michael574 4 years ago
If you know who you are, that is!

really, then who are you? what do you want? why are you here? where are you going?

Is it? It sounds OK to me. Please check your sound level bar in youtube and your PC and if it's low again, I'll see what I can do. Thanks! :)
