Row 20: Purl 3. *Pick up loose strands with right hand needle, slip strands onto left hand needle and purl together with the next stitch, purl 9. Repeat from *, end last repeat with purl 3.
@nuggsynoo When you slip the stitches your yarn needs to be on the right side of your work. This allows for the strands to be on the front and visible for your butterfly. Try this: Knit 2, bring the working yarn between the needles to the front of the work. Slip 5 sts and then return the working yarn between the needles to the back of the work. This should give you nice strands in the front (knit side) for your butterflies. Let me know how you make out!
Row 10: Purl 4. *Pick up loose strands with right hand needle, slip strands onto left hand needle and purl together with the next stitch, purl 9. Repeat from *, end purl 4.
Rows 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19: Knit 7. *Move yarn to front of work, slip 5 stitches, move yarn to back, knit 5. Repeat from *, end last repeat with knit 7.
Rows 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9: Knit 2. *Move yarn to front of work, slip 5 stitches, move yarn to back, knit 5 stitches. Repeat from *, end last repeat with knit 2.
@isadfaith used the butterfly stitch in my "Fluttered" socks pattern which was part of the Trekking knit along series. It is a FREE patten found on my website.
The yarn was a remnant in my stash - I'm sorry that I don't have the info on it.
thank you. great clear video
