  • You wont ever get a better film/song maker than Harold Faltermeyer lol

  • This is fucking incredible, Faltermeyer is superb, they don't make scores like this anymore.

  • Man this is the best track way better than axel f imho.

  • I agree FarleyTube I miss that year as well. What's really sad though is that so much good music from Harold was not and is still not released. I would hate to think that the man has to die before somebody gets smart and actually releases the music to this movie. :(

  • awesome!... someone go get Rosewood!

  • Goddamn I miss 1984.

  • I have been searching for this track for ages. Am so Fucking pleased thatb I can hear It after sooooo long.!!!!

  • Man this is so awesome i am gonna listen to this on my mp3 next time i surf youtube when i should be working :P

  • EDDIE MURPHY RULES!!!!!!!!!

  • in soviet russia, this called veryDisco

  • Billy, you know, you don't have to be embarrassed if your dick gets hard. Your dick is supposed to get hard. See? That's the whole object of this. Taggart's dick is hard, but he won't let you know 'cause he's the boss. Boss' dick got to stay limp, right? See, I ain't on duty so my dick can be hard.

  • Just searched Faltermeyer and found this piece for the first time ever. Didn't know it was available.

    Many thanks team!

  • I can't stop listening to this track. The synth bass & guitar rhythm is so menacing and hypnotic. The arrpegiated bridge works really nicely for the final build-up. Powerful stuff.

  • Awesome bass drum

  • wow, great until 1:38!

  • @27twilightmoon What's wrong with that part? It's a nice breakdown. Then it kicks in again at 2:11. And really, the score had to fit the scene of the movie. There probably was a "moment" for pause at 1:38. Then the drama probably picked up again at 2:11 (like maybe when Rosewood decided to go into the warehouse). I'll have to break out my VHS and check out that scene again.

  • @DJRckwl this version in the video is not in the movie. The movie version is much shorter, stripped down and gets to the ending much quicker. You can listen to it on msupplies1 youtube channel.

  • @mugabesunny Okay-okay, I was just guessing. Thanks for the info, you saved me some work (although I will be watching my [made-for-TV-with-less-cursing-version, LOL] tape again anyway just cuz I like the movie). And I did check out the short version of the song on msupplies1 like you suggested and I see what you're talking about. But as I told 27twilightmoon, I think this long version is just fine from beginning to end, even the part that breaks down at 1:38. You'd probably agree.

  • That song is on Beverly hill cop 3

  • FINALLY!.. I have been searching for this song.. no matter what I tried, I couldn't find this version... I Love the scene where Eddie Murphy and his friend find the cocaine in the crates, this song really captures the moment. Great post! I just wish it was on the soundtrack.

  • Coffee? Yeah thats coffee on top. But this ain't sugar! Go get "Rosewood"..

  • one of the best music writers ever!!!

  • wonderful theme

  • sounds better than the good ol RCA 14 inch color tv...

  • ultimate make out music

  • this is possibly one of my favourite scenes in the whole movie and this song was a huge part of that....

  • Needs more cowbell.

  • I really like this song

  • Don't worry about me Jenny...We got cocaine and coffee here, we're gonna get wired and have a good time! Thanks for having me over Vic, this is really nice LOL.

  • Why is this man not producing more scores. Hes amazing.

  • why i'm not born in 80's my god :( this theme is AWESOME

  • @rifton1030 The 80s were a COOL time!!!!! I was 11 when the original film came out and I was mad as hell, because everybody else in school at the time was talking about how they either snuck in to see it or their older Brother or Sister took them to see it, and they kept spoiling the movie. I wasn't able to finally see it until a year later, when it came out on Time Warner Cable back in 1984. This is one of my most favorite 80s movies, and Harold F is a GENIUS!!!!!

  • I dig Cop I and II's soundtrack as well as the Fletch movies..very similar, but still very cool.

  • Hace tiempo que buscaba este tema...

  • Four people don't have coffee and cocaine to party with. :D

  • @Rude1234 I prefer moon tea and cedar sticks myself

  • Does anybody know where I can get this song? Searched through iTunes, and I can't find the CD in any stores...

  • i remember when my father played this song in the Fairlight, was a hard work this song has many instumental layers 26 in total he used two instruments a emulator and fairlight it was in 1985

  • @guimbadriver Thats AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome.

  • This song is so gangsta

  • Super cette musique de Harold Faltermeyer! Dommage qu'elle ne soit pas en stéréo,et inclus dans la bande originale du film !

  • I remember this one

  • I used to LOVE this song, as kid growing up in the 80's and a huge fan of the first two movies. The FM guitar is a bit too much...but that BASS sound, wow!

  • Love it

  • I just got my record of this in mint condition. It was on the Patti LaBelle Stir It Up 45 on the B side.

  • this bass is powerful

  • sweeeet... :-) although I'd like the background to be more present.

  • Excelent this music and the bad guys

  • ... who are the three corndogs who didn't like this song... they need their head examined...beverly hills rocks...:)

  • All that space and yet this is richer than most 'packed' soundtracks we hear today.

  • Just an awesome track!!

  • Yes! I've found this! The synth bass on this track is epic!

  • awesome find. man, they gotta eventually release a score only edition. so many lost 80s scores have finally been put out, can't believe this one hasn't yet. maybe when Cop 4 comes out.

  • a paki with a badge!

  • I want dis song, where can I get it?

  • Great instrumental track! That is why today I used it to test my new speaker set

    Manta MM1660 2.2 Pure Energy.

  • Taggert: We're more likely to believe him then a foul-mouthed jerk like you!

    Axel: Foul-mouthed? Fuck you, man!

    Classic!

  • Great and a Very good Job!!!

  • i used to rewind this bit of the film bare times!

  • class!!

  • Great Track !!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah

  • Harold Faltermeyer is my idol! They don't make this kind of music anymore.

  • CLASSIC

  • a genius

  • Great Sound!

I know that Harold Faltermeyer had used the Oberheim OBX Synthesizer für his music and this song! Thats the best Synthesizer ever!

  • victor listen to me..

    SHUT UP!!!

  • does anyone know how to copy a track such as this one from you tube onto a device such as mp3/memory card/phone???

  • Thank you ever so much, I have been looking to this track for ages! Yes... since the lat 90s! I would constantly rewind (yes rewind!!) the scene just to hear the song! THANK YOU

  • Love this track.

  • Funky trac...way out there...thanks Muga...:)

  • Sounds a lot like "Everything she want's" from Wham.

  • wow nice :)

  • DX7, Linn drum and jp-3 used on this i believe.

  • He's not using the awesome 80's synths tho. Modern synths just dont sound as sharp, fat and snappy as these old babies!

  • Beverly Hills cop 4 is coming 2012!

  • The master of 80s synths, a legend!!

  • Awesome!

  • Is he doing the music for Beverly Hills Cop 4? Has an asian influence

  • Every note your ears want to hear is hit in this.

  • "I told you it's Phil, you liar. Hi, Phil. Give me a kiss baby.".

  • "Phil, you changed, man". Then he said, "Gimmie me a kiss baby" and that's when "Phil" lost it. Classic scene.

  • @SleekTekNeek lol I love this line! There's this guy named Phil at my job and every time I say his name I try to say it like Eddie Murphy did in that strip bar scene..... "Philip?! Is that you Phil? I knew that was you, my friend tried to tell me that wasn't you but I said THAT'S PHIL!" LOL

  • Faltermayer is as talented as Jan Hammer and Giorgio Moroder, but too underrated! Damn, it irritades me that such a genious like Harold doesn't get his score released! I would sure want to get the whole score. All, Mister. Hammer, Mr. Moroder and Mr. Faltermayer are my personal idols!

  • Too Right. Most people don't realise how good Faltermeyer is, especially the entire BHCOP 1 & 2 Scores, multi layered synthesizer masterpieces. Well at least Faltermeyer is coming back, he's just completed the score for Kevin Smith's "Cop Out" movie which is out in Feb 2010, so it looks like we might hear some funky synth again!

  • @Spugester26

you tell the same as want to say, these 3 composers are great , genius, ...

and I am glad that one of them (Jan Hammer) is from Czech rep. as me :-)

Its nice to listen such kind dof music

  • @Spugester26 He will in the future, on Lalaland records.

  • @StarWarsFan786 Nice one! Gotta keep my eyes open for that.

  • @Spugester26 Jan Hammer is in his own league, but Faltermeyer is a very good #2.

  • @G04i77A2

I think this is an Oberheim OB X Synthesizer, but im not sure!

  • now that's new wave

  • love the film !!! and the music fab!!!!

  • does anyone else notice the synth used in the other song????

  • Lol @ MobyLick! Great scene in the film!

  • this is my SHIT!!!!

  • Tell Victor that Ramon, the fellow he met last week, tell him that Ramon went to the clinic today and has been diagnosed with herpesimplex-10, and I just felt he should know before things start fallin' off the man!

  • Love the trio!

  • Great movie. Great music.

  • just so damn GOOD!!!!

  • Hey this is pretty sweet....

  • germans are music geniuses !

    danke harold !

  • ...as they are genius in engineering and system approach. music is a kind of math so that is why they are good at that. at least i coose to think that way.

  • This is Pure Genius Talent.

  • epic

  • I like this electronic stuff!!

  • and you're not the only one!

  • johnny wishbone!!!

  • just think "Johnny Wishbone" and I come runnin'!

Lutz and Biddle...kind of like "Kibbles and Bits" but...DIFFERENT!

    HYSTERICAL!!!! LOL!

  • Faltermeyer is very talented. Good Job!

  • Nice work.

    "Phil, you changed man..."

  • This is so right.....

  • Harold F i love you!

  • The last of the epic

  • really cool movie

  • Eddie Murphy is great guy. As a matter of fact, I call Beverly Hills Cop the best movie Murphy has done.

  • CTA is a masterpiece as well. Classics.

  • "Phil..! Whats wrong man?! What you doing with all this gun man?! You changed man!"

  • say what?!

  • i remembner whathing harold faltermeyer on top of the pops in england, i always rememberr cos he had a commoder 64,lol , keyboard on display

yup jan hammer and harold are up there. i owuld put up vangelis as well, but imo bladerunner was the only decent he did

  • This isn't my locker

  • "Coffee grounds....welcome to the party"

  • this shit iz hard!!!!! im gonna sample this

  • Unicum !!!!

  • Heard it sometime

  • I don't know much about synth, but I know I like Harold Faltermeyer's style of it!

Are there any more composers like him, past or present, that any many one could give me some info on? T

  • Well alongside Faltermeyer, you need to listen to Jan Hammer's music, such as his Miami Vice score tracks. Jan Hammer & Harold Faltermeyer, the two kings of synths!

  • Thanks so much!

I'm already "in love" with Hammer's "Flashback"!

  • Do you have the soundtrack from the scene where they break into the mansion and have a shootout? If so could you please send it to me.

  • YES!!!

  • Where can I download this awsome theme?

  • Paramount won't let anybody release the full scores for BHCOP 1 & 2. Hopefully someone will put it out eventually, just like how Tango & Cash was finally released.
