  • this was my first ever pc

  • how do you open media card reader

  • WOW the pc all the way to the left is my first pc!

  • can this thing run minecraft fast?

  • thats not a mid tower idiot

  • I'm wondering does this have a PCI Express 2.0 x16?

  • @Davorus Yes, I just put a graphics card in myn.

  • Not bad computer. I still have mine (its not my main computer, I use a 15" macbook pro i7 2.66 ghz). But its on my desk with this tiny 14" CRT monitor. Haha. 3 years old and its never slow. I upgraded to a 8800Gt 512mb grpahics card. pretty good

  • and so that i also know where my new video card is lol it's just like a black cover that they put on it so i dont end up useing the wrong card gota love the new HD graphics card that dell installed for me this system is 100% custom made love it.

  • i have this system love it but i had my custom made i had dell upgrade up the video card to the dule gaming card and you can run two computer screens on my system at the same time and i also have the HD Audio card in my system and a 1TB hard drive 4GB of ram very fast fame system pluse you gotta love the dule core proceser that they put in it very nice computer system love it,

what dell did was put a black lock cover over the on board video card so that i dont end up useing it

  • @unrn000 i think have the same one but with 2 500GB hard drives instead of 1 1TB drive and the graphics card soupports HD 3D loved it when it was new but its starting to get a bit slow now but saying that its 2 years old and its still faster than most computers and the graphics card soupports HD 3D it cost me quite a bit more than $600 it was £800 witch i think is about $1200

  • @mb8vu2 hey yea i agree with you on that i thought my system had a virus in it so i redid the windows cause it was running slow and when i did the windows all over again with a fresh install it's still running slow but i have a HD sound card HD video card witch i had them put in to it for me and some what small hard drive i gotta give DELL a call and have this issue fixed before the warranty goes out on me on 01-12-12 not that far away lol.

  • i have the exact same one except i upgraded the graphics card

    i now have dvi,s-video and 2 vga

  • I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with the following configuration:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 central processing unit

3 GB of DDR2 SDRAM at 667 MHz

    Intel G33 Chipset

Intel GMA 3100 integrated graphics processor

    350 watt power supply unit

What is the fastest graphics card in the ATi Radeon HD 5000 series I can add to it without replacing the power supply unit?

  • @ikilluish I have an NVIDIA GTS 250 by PALIT and my proccesor caps its abilities a little but with a quad youd be fine.... tho youd need like a 500w PS...

  • @monsterman890098 it did fucking not i did not have a good graphics card so i wasted 40 dollers on the game

  • will fallout 3 work on the dell inspiron 530 if i put the graphics on low?

  • can you remove the motherboard on this computer?

  • IS it Duel core or Quad Core,i wanna upgrade the graphics card

  • i have this computer and upgraded its psu to 550w and 9800gtx gpu. but i still curious whats the case size of this desktop, is it mini tower atx, or med tower atx, or something else, your answer might help

  • hi, i have this same dell inspiron but with a pentium r. I was plainng to replace it with a intel core 2 qued processor, do u thing it would work.

  • i have this comp im on it right now.. the only prob i have with it is the damn hard drive it is slow.. anyone know how to fix this prob? like it will freeze up for 10 seconds then after that i will be good for like 2 mins or so then it will do it again..

  • @xXBiigPoppaXx how much ram do you have?

  • @RTard48JRod 2.00

  • me too never crashed

  • @deathmetaldave19720 Purchase a graphics card. You can find decent ones for cheap on NewEgg. Make sure it has at least one DVI port.

  • i have this computer too. does anybody know how i can connect my DVI cable into it?

  • i have it i like it but ya i did upgrage graphics card

  • how many gb

  • @farisjoomun

ram 4 360 other wise but thet is taken up by vista programs so its really 288

  • dell inspiron 530 is the shittest computer in the world!! it crashes everytime, the qaulity is flimsy and everything comes off,no shit is compatable. it is a cheap computer, but for that much shitness, buy another computer, . i beg u!!!! it's worth about $5.

  • @fordfocusmk4... i happen to know that is a very good computer because my cousin has one and it run s good.. a little loud but it runs good... things open up right when you click them.

  • mines never crashed

  • does it have built in bluetooth

  • I have this pc, and using a gtx 260 in it..45nm e5300 cpu and 3 gig ddr2. This pc can infact support ddr3 ram and the core 2 extremes quad and all.. the only way it wont support ddr3 is if its the older g33 mobo when they first came out from dell.. with out the pci e x1. The newer ones can use ddr3 ram, so this is the best for a cheap budget gaming pc to turn out damn powerful.

  • GTX 260 won't fit in the case. I know, I tried.

  • yeah it will. i have one in mine

  • just why exactly wont it fit, all i had to do was rearrange some wiring, thats it. I wouldn't have posted having it if i didnt have it. haha would you want proof??

  • you also have to move the hard drive btw. Forgot to mention that. but other than that shit.. yeah it will fit, no problems.

  • Don't forget the new mainboard, otherwise the back of the card doesn't line up with the hole in the back of the PC properly.. And the new PSU because the dell's stock one isn't powerful enough. And probably a new case, as the side of the stock one won't go back on when you do manage to squeeze it in there.

Why not just build your own PC from the ground up instead of wasting £700 on crap you're gonna replace?

  • nope, didnt have to replace anything, ive been running it on a 585 watt psu. it all fits properly, you sure your not referring to the inspiron 530s. its too small, but not the 530. and since my gtx 260 needs dual slot.. all i did was cut out part of the framing. other than that, i dont see how u didnt get a gtx 260 to fit in yours.. it was too easy.

  • ill show you a pic. It was too simple. Ill post the pics in a video on my page.

  • posted the video to show you, and btw waste money on shit imma replace? no no no..

Im not replacing shit, My pc is a gaming pc the way i use it, and the specs it has. I play anything out today maxed perfect fps. But i have ordered an amd desktop kit. Phenom II x4 etc... good pc kit for 500. Comes with all the works.. I use my current dell for not only gaming but i make beats and music as well.

  • I ordered the Vista version, didnt like it so i downgraded to XP (Runs so nicely with xp btw)

graphics card bugged out so i upgraded the graphics card to an Nvidia 9800GT 1gb, and also upgraded power supply.

week ago one of the 1gb ram sticks crapped out, so ill replace that soon.

But other then that i really love this computer.

  • ok....can somebody tell me how to do recovery for mine.............otherwise im screwed...or some has recovery cds for this pc.....

  • i love mines more.... intel core 2 quad 2.4 ghz

    4gb ram

    Radeon hd 4670 1gig hd4670

    22 inch HD monitor

  • You got very good stuff men

  • I love mine... Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz

    3GB Ram

    Radeon 512mb card

    24" Dell Monitor

  • i have one it works great but pepole arte complaneing about the hard drive crashing i had mine for 3 yearsv an its still going

  • I have this, mine works pretty good. it skips every now and then but its fine

  • is urs 530s? mine is this

  • So if i want to get a graphics card for this computer what kind do i need, and to anyone who is thinking of buying its an overall great computer

  • Anything not above a Radeon 4670 or a Geforce 9600GT and you should be fine. with the psu you have now.

  • It depends upon what you are going to use your pc for.

  • minor gaming, i would at least like to be able to play wow and steam games with no lag. So if you know of any graphics cards that would be able to do that and still fit this computer and run under 300w it would be greatly appreciated.

  • You should be fine with any graphics card that doesn't require a 6 pin power connection in the back. I'd say your best bet would be either a Radeon 4670 or 9600GT. Either one of these graphics cards are well suited ti play WOW.

  • does anyone know if a EVGA 8600 gts superclocked would run on this pc without upgrading power supply?

  • It would run it fine, even if you did overclock it . As long as you buy a gpu that doesn't used a extra power connection, you should be fine.

  • no it wont .. you need 400+ just to be safe

  • my mom bought this off the shopping channel and I dont think I got the same computer it came with vista 32 bit and not even a full gig of ram the internet is ALWAYS messed up, it doesnt work unless you wait about 20 mins (10 if your lucky) or if you unplug the ethernet cord and replug it, and i know its not my provider or modem because I have 3 other computers and a xbox360 that work just fine with it. and also its just really dam slow.

  • Is this computer capable of playing blu-ray?

  • Not without a diff graphics card. The X3100 IGP that it comes with isn't really blu ray compatible, but everything else in it would run it fine.

  • i have that computer

  • how noisey/quiet is this pc?

my current ibm is a little noisey :(

  • i just got this computer today and its pretty cool

  • i have this same computer but does it have a dvd burner?

  • all dells have dvd/cd burners im not getting this it just turn me awy because no hdmi out put i need hdmi for my hdtv vga just to low

  • chea i just bought one of these with a q6600 quad-core, 3gb ram, 250gb HD for only $316 straight on the dot... hooray for the dell outlet..

  • You can get this same pc now at Tigerdirect for 350 dollars which is a steal.

  • i have this system desktop...

  • I have the slimline one, FML, i cant find a small enough new power supply (i have only 250watts, i want 300-400 watts) If somebody points me in the right direction i would be very happy. Remember, i have slimline, so i need low profile power supply.

  • Hey thise this inspiron have a SD card slot?

  • yeah.

  • Does this work with the GeForce 8400 GS? Nvidia

  • i thought that dell inspirons were only laptops?

  • great pc

  • i have this pc : )

  • me too!

  • I just bought a PNY NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB and i cant make it work. The power supply has SATA cable type and the GPU has the 4 pin Molex. I need help !!!!!

  • It won't work because the PSU is a 300w one. You'll need a strong one for a 9800GTX+.

  • hey can u put the graphic card. BFG NVidia Geforce 9500 GT on this?

  • It does, you can see the PCI express slot in this vid.

  • Hey tavyronpynandi. I thinking about doing what you just did. I have this same pc except 32x or bit and I want/ and need a better graphics card. Have found a solution to the power thing yet? Have you found a better power supply that you recomend?

  • hey, yeah i found a solution and was to buy a new Power supply. I bought a XION Simple Power 630W ATX Power Supply from Tigerdirect(.)com. Which is about $50. And then my NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB worked perfectly. I play WoW and i can play everything on Ultra settings expect View Distance, i still need more Ram for that. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 530, i have only upgraded those 2 parts.

  • Wow. Thanks. T his helps. Do you have any idea about what size card I can fit. I have the same computer as you and I want to put like a GTX card in there. Any suggestions or help?

  • I think any of the new and old GTX will fit , im not a geek about computers but try to buy one from the 9000 series if you want to play the lastest games. Tthe one i have NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB fits perfectly in this computer

  • I was also thinking of installing WinVista Ultimate or Win7. But i havent decided yet. If someone can help me with that. Thanks

  • Well that should be pretty easy. just back up all your files. Then Delete those files off your hard drive that you want your OS on by using boot option at start up. Either install Ulitimate or Win7 from a burned cd or external hard drive. Burned CD may be easier.

  • I have this PC.

    and i love it :)

(plus i wanted to see inside so I knew what I was up against if I were to clean out the heatsinks, swap a harddrive, or upgrade ram.)

    in short:

    THIS.

    COMPUTER

    IS

    EPIK.

    WIN.

  • i got an ATI radeon HD 3650 with this...awesome PC

  • i got the super low\end $300 version and it was perfect then I super juiced and it still is awesome so reason to not buy it

  • i need the universal code for unlock the dell my mom give the computer with parental control is so fuchking slow

  • Hmm I'm considering this it's in my price range and seems like a great deal the only problem is that I need a very good graphics card which this lacks, oh well just a few dollars here and there and we'll see how it works out.

  • hey umm for some reason my pc back at home wont let me access the inteernet...

it says that i need a ethernet drivers control... anyone know where i can find what im looking for?

  • canuput sd cards in it

  • anyone think i should get this.. the grahics card is gonna be a ati hd one that is upgraded via dell

  • I got this computer today is it good for call of duty 4

  • Yay! I have this.

  • there seems to be something thats blocking my memory slots and bluetooth thing, so can someone please tell me what to do?

  • is this computer good for World of Warcraft?

  • no. you goto to upgrade the video card and Ram

  • im pretty sure the RAM is fine, just runs a bit slower. the video card wont let you play at high quality but you can still play without too much of a problem.

  • it does need a new graphics card cuz i play flight simulator x

  • Make sure when you buy one its PCI-E not PCI-E 2.0 bcz it wont work.

  • 2.0 works on a regular pci-e slot..... it just doesn't get that extra boost of performance that a 2.0 really has

  • yup ive made sur of that

  • i just got this yesterday and it is cool cuz i never had my own desktop before and i think it works great

  • I was thinking of puting a Nvidia Geforce 9600GSO if I bought this you think it would fit?

  • guys, is that right that if you buy the core 2 quad inspiron 530, we get the 350w psu, because i have the quad core 8200Q and i have no idea how many watts is my PSU, i open my case onced, i just saw in the top of the PSU Sticker, saying " DC Output=350W"

  • do you think one of these will be okay with flight simulator X?

  • yea if you get a video card

  • can the dell Inspiron 530 run the HD4870 video card?? HELP plss

  • nope

  • nasty, ive seen better looking washing machines

  • the only thing dell really excels at is making cheap computers, everything else about them is subpar. build quality, tech support, you name it.

i guess that's the price you pay for paying a low price :)

  • u say it cuz u got that stupid shit just try a dell and that will shut ur fucking mouth up dumb bitch

  • what the fuck does that mean? go learn English and how to type before you start calling me shit like that, kid.

  • lol, that is a dell, are you blind?

  • what graphic card does this computer come with? i want to try fallout 3 on this computer

  • depend of what your order. The basic one i think is intel 3100

  • so i should check out the intel core 2 version of the computer?

  • what do u mean

  • im saying that if i should buy something better than the basic

  • yeah of course, get the most expensive one, the 700 i think. then you need to upgrade the graphic card for a bit, because the 3100 still suck

  • you get two choices,

Ati Radeon hd 3450 $40 extra

Ati Radeon hd 2600 XT $100 extra (SO MUCH BETTER!!!)

i can play wow on high on my ati 2600 xt. runs at 42fps in the mist crowded areas, 56fps not crowded.

  • hey, he said the only limitation is the power suply. If I can know, can we upgrade the power suply,or you cant

  • my one came with a graphics card

  • i got this for christmas, still ordering though, very good computer, high specs, 4 gig ram, core quad, half tera, suck thing, bad graphic card, no problem, I ordered from them to change it to a good graphic card instead

  • mine has a e2180 pentium dual, 3gb hd 2600 xt card, 320 hdd, and a 22" widescreen, sacrified the quad for the monitor, and for me at least, it works great.

  • is it quad. Hey works great, yeeee

  • i have an inspiron 530 and i was wondering if you think it could support an EVGA 512-P3-N976-AR GeForce 9800 GT Superclocked Edition 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

  • Most likely not, since its only got a 300-watt desgin psu, you might need to talk to dell directly to make sure it will work, or find a new power supply that fits the case, in mine i have the HD 2600 XT, good high-end 256 card, alterniatavly you could look for a lower power 512mb card, but go to dell for more info on it

  • would it void the warranty if i added accessories to it like a new grphics card and psu?

  • dont know

  • NOW you should see my dell inspiron 530,i put a XFX 280gtx in it,boot time under 30secs with XFX 9300 motherboard with

WD VelociRaptor 300 GB and 800mhz A data ram, hafe way through the video is when I hit the on button, yes this is good system can fit my 280gtx in it i have video on you tube for proof

  • is this is a good system for gaming?

  • No its not. This is more of a basic desktop.

  • dont listen to him it is what "basic" Desktop has a dual core???and 3gigs of ram thats gamin pc

  • I just ordered it on cyber Monday. I just picked a core 2 quad processor. Gotta download 64 bit version of ubuntu for it. Can't wait to see in on my desk.

  • So do I. I got this computer over a year ago. Mines pretty much the same but with an Nividia 8600 GT Graphics Card in it. She's getting a little outdated, though. Thinking about upgrading to an Alienware computer.

  • custom building a much cheaper than buying pre-built

  • HEY!

I HAVE THE ISPIRON 530 too!

  • Does it have a Good Graphics card for gaming?

  • i made a review of my inspiron 530 check it out

and mine has hdmi and dvi

  • good vid

  • it won't load for me =/ stupid youtube.

it's doin the whole unavailable thing, but refreshing doesn't fix it
