@AdamKokesh, I really appreciate you taking the time to interview the people you meet. :) I think this man is 'right on the money' with his perspective
I bet some of the occupiers are probably pretending to be homeless when those charity groups start coming around with food and clothes. There is no god I guess, unless he is giving you free stuff.
@LJP707videos Huh? You do realize that I was commenting on the Christian volunteer, right?
You think a genuine Christian who walks the talk & believes in VOLUNTARY human interaction, that especially charity should be done out of goodness of heart, voluntarily & not by hijacking Gvt's monopoly of force, is a "paid rent-a-mobs that want more "free" shit?"
You sure you were responding to the right comment?
That's right, get physical!!!! Actions are worth a million words!! Burn down the printing press just like they did in Greece!!! For Glory! Reclaim your dignity!
People can't help themselves when big banks are withholding money and credit from the economy, forcing people and businesses into bankruptcy so they can scoop up property at fire sale prices. The purpose of government is to protect individuals from predatory banks and corrupt corporations. We need monetary reform. The problem is that government isn't doing its job! Good reason to occupy.
@sozfan1 That money and credit ultimately comes from the federal reserve. You see, what most occupiers do not get is that the corporations dont exactly own the government. Infact, its far worse. The government and corporations are merging together into the same entity; this is known as economic fascism. Economic fascism is more of an oligarchy than anything, but our "oligarchy" really does have a driving force. Just like the nazi's, hitler was behind the show. Here its called the federal reserve
@PairoftheSocks Considering your "government" was a set of privately owned corporations from day one, their job is to protect other corporations from YOU. The "purpose" of the "government" is whatever in the hell the corporations say that "purpose" is, and for the last 200+ years, it was only to flood this country with immigrants, so Britain could get cheap labor and goods imported, and asset strip you to the bone. We have ALWAYS BEEN "Fascist"...Welcome to the Corporation, "Citizen".
@TheCaptainSlappy I think from day one is a bit outrageous. One goods and services did this corporation sell? And how exactly do you plan to solve it? Libertarians and ancaps have already formulated a plan and means of fixing this country. We will wipe out the very mechanism that corporations use to gain control; the government. Then we will allow natural competition wipe out the obsolete broke corporations that will be left over. No more limited liability will exist in the new system.
people would not expect the gov to take care of them if the gov wasnt taking their money and saying "we are going to use it to take care of you". we are happy to take care of ourselves but Uncle Sam needs to keep his hands out of our pockets.
This man is doing what each and every other person who calls for government handouts to the poor should be doing. Voluntarily giving time and money to help get them on their feet and hopefully one day doing the same thing for someone else.
Good job man, and thank you Alex for restoring some hope for humanity to me.
Just because you are using your First Amendment Right to peacefully assemble and adress grievances to your government, does not mean you don't do charity work in your private life. This is again beyond simplistic! I volunteer weekly in my community, including my daughters.
@DutchsMaria you are correct, but, what are they calling for? if you are assembling because you are fed up with the system and want parts of it abolished or fixed... then ok, but... they aren't calling for impeachment, they aren't calling to end the fed (Which caters to it's private banks and corporations), etc..
they are calling for free stuff, debt forgiven, tax the rich, make the government create a job and give it to us, etc...
@jbkibs 1) free stuff? We the taxpayer pick up the tap for Private Corp making weekly record profits of the wars 2) End the fed which is just as private as Wall street? Who enacted the Fed? Congress did! So if we are going to squabble were to demonstrate ITS IN FRONT of the Halls of Congress OR your local Reps office!!!!!! 3) they are not calling for anything as of yet other then 'take money out of politics!!!! Which I think most of us across the political spectrum can agree on.
It's great that people are running full speed the problem is: I feel it's misguided. THE FEDERAL RESERVE is the problem. We can never end the debt that in accumulating unless we abolish "THE FED". Asking the government to redistribute funds will be yet another temporary solution. Solve the root problem! END THE FED! This entity has far to much power over this country.
at least the churches still "get it". It's always about the individual and charity. It is not the job of the government to dole out money to groups it deems "worthy". it's up to us to decide what we support and give to those charities and churches...
Also, please open a bitcoin wallet for your show. I want to donate (even though I disagree with many of your opinions) but would prefer to do it outside of visa et al.
I appreciate your videos, but I feel you consistently misrepresent OWS. Every video it seems you repeat, as if it were accepted fact, that OWS looks for statist solutions, and that they complain and moan waiting for government action. In fact there is a lot of self-organization, direct action, and community development at OWS. And polls are showing that a majority of occupy protesters across the nation don't put hopes in voting the 'right' representative.
When it's all said and done, will this overall conflict be dealt with by the hand of violence or words? I mean really, what's it going to take? While the American people are making tremendous progress in 'waking up', what's the next step for us?
This is a reason why I dislike religion right here. What would normally be a man who helps poor because he cares that much about them now becomes someone who was only doing what he was told to do. Kinda like socialism in a way.
This is why the "WE ARE THE 99%" chants piss me off. A GOOD portion of the population DISAGREES with the occupy protesters, and they do not represent anywhere NEAR the "99%". Great interview Adam.
Mark my words. If Ron Paul doesn't win the nomination, the occupy movement will be used to help Obama get reelected. If he does win the nomination the occupy movement will be overshadowed by something much bigger
,to me just as the Government, the Churches have alot of blood on their hands...together we prosper divided we fail...All churches come together and fight with the 99%. Even as diverse as the protesters are ...break it down...and they are fighting the Evil that has taken our Country over...
Having been a trucker myself, now that I think about it, trucking is an AMAZING job for a homeless person. They give you a house to live in while you work.
This is why people are protesting if you can watch without puking. Sure, sounds nice, us ants should take care of our selves while the bullies scatter our nest every couple years.
He hits on a key thing when he speaks of the importance of actions not words, the internet has become a place where a lot of people come to rant & make cool videos & ect, but without any action to go along with it, the internet becomes like this black hole that swallows all this energy up while the world outside remains unchanged. An example is back in 2008 leading up to the ron paul event in DC, with all the hype on the net i was expecting thousands to be there, but only a few hundred show up.
further, few people actually have the skills to help a lot of these guys -
many of them vets
so, no training, no jobs, no funds to start a business, no money for education & you want people to go out there, help a lot of crazy people who should be in a psych hospital, but can't get into one; in the case of vets turned away.
man, quit your popular ego driven job - get a degree in psychiatry, help your brothers walking the streets out
least you have the tax payer educational grants to do it
DC is full of homeless vets. Since Reagan, it's been a disgrace! & even during the good time when we all had money people wouldn't go out & help the homeless, even the churches can't handle them
People can't help themselves now, like this guy thinks they should, & u expect them to help the mentally ill in order to champion less government?
that said, shouldn't it then b just an honor to serve in the military with no taxpayer perks when you get out? that'd b less government
Just goes to show how different the ideals of individuals can be. Don't have to be a soulless atheist to believe in private libertarian values. (not meant to be negative towards anyone don't send me hate lol)
very nicely done .. your interviewing skills have evolved nicely since you started filming the ows,,, very well done , its now a joy to watch your interviews now .. thank you so much for listening to the comments and learning from them , instead of dismissing them ... please have a talk with mark dice , hes pissing more people off than hes interviewing , and talking above them as oppose to them , his arrogance borders on annoying as you watch his vids..
I like newbutt111 Obamaville./C the recent demonisation of the NYC Z-park's homesless- OWS is showing its cloven hoof- corparatism. Lotta police OT for sure. Time to pay the piper one guys says. Obama has budgets to balance & so do municipalities. OWS, theater of the absurd will be a media memory sooner rather than later.
Someone should remind this guy of the one time Jesus got violent - when he was chasing out the MONEY CHANGERS!!! He needs to be more christ like and join the movement!
Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve YHWH (Father) and mammon ($).
@AdamKokesh It's an odd paradox, isn't it? Fact is, even if we had 1 mil in the streets, why wouldn't the 1% continue to ignore us? Not that I am condoning violence, but the "Proof is in the Pudding," so to speak. Still, what that guy said is by and large the smartest thing I have heard in a long time. Since the retired and close to retired middle class has come into the fold, it's been about the 79% and everyone has forgotten about the 20% of people who are homeless. (Figures estimated, trolls)
That's a great question. My thoughts on that is that the problem with the 1% is that they don't quite ignore us enough, and our problem is that we don't ignore them quite enough. If the 1% is all alone, they will achieve nothing, while the rest will get to keep whatever they earn by their own hands, or receive charity without suffering a huge overhead to deliver it.
@dataphreak That's a pretty poor estimate. The real figure is closer to 0.2% homeless. It is generally a good idea to actually look up such numbers (it takes mere seconds) before making comments that contain them.
@AdamKokesh Violent is motivated by anger, hatred, vengeace, malice, etc. What he is describing is called ZEAL. GOD didn't call anyone to be cowards. This is also why many Prophets, Apostles and servants died for their faith because they stood against those who would pollute the ways of the Most High.
@AdamKokesh No he's not saying that. The ubers at Wall Street are itching for it though. So are the militia guys just standing by watching and waiting. If another kid gets hurt, I wouldn't be surprised if the militia doesn't take out a big wig or two to set an example. Could even be a mayor. They would act swiftly and covertly. The protesters themselves demand peace, but they can't control the rest of the populationsas we continue to witness the facist actions of the law authority. V
@AdamKokesh: Violence is proper if aimed at the right place. Should we attack the cops, cities, etc, no. But the people should go directly to the elite, bankers and attack them. Protesting does nothing as those in control do not listen nor care.Has any protest ever worked? It is a stall tactic used by the elite so we stand and scream while they continue to do as they do. Be like Messiah, attack the money changers, flip over their tables, Matt 21:12-13.
@AdamKokesh Ghandi adopted the tactic of non- violence because the people had been disarmed by the British. He was a pragmatist willing to utilize the methods that were available, the art of the possible. Peace, until and unless!
@AdamKokesh No, just trying to bring some light to the "christians" who think Jesus never got pissed off. He definitely was, because he went home and made a whip for them (John 2:15)
@Gravija1980 Jesus never became violent. He was clearly angry, but never did he strike another man. Showing aggression is man's nature. Jesus, being a man in the flesh, was no doubt tempted to physically hurt them, but instead ran them out. Jesus wasn't a Socialist with Communist dreams either like the majority of these occupying hipsters are.
@Gravija1980 Yeah but remember that the Jews convinced the Romans to murder Jesus by demanding he be Crucified on the Cross. Also remember that Zionist Jews are responsible for bankrupting our America and stealing over $27Trillion because Zionist Jews control the fED, the IMF, the World Bank, the largest investment banks on Wall Street like Goldman, AIG, BofA, Citi, and also control our News Media and Hollywood. Google it if you don't believe it. the 99%ers KNOW these FACTS and are protesting!
@Gravija1980 it will be good if you guys target the real enemy (federal reserve, military industrial complex, goldman sachs, NWO, NATO, UN, EU etc) and stop complaining that the government is not giving you enough goodies!
dont you see how the government is going to play you off into a classes war? they (with the PR of Michael Moor) are going to play you against those who are not that mighty rich but who still provide jobs in this country.
@Gravija1980 We've heard that garbage from others that are looking for an excuse to disregard everything in the Bible.
Anger is not the issue. It's how you allow yourself to react to the anger. If you get mad at yourself for doing something wrong and resolve to do better, then it can be a motivating emotion.
@Gravija1980 - If you are going to use Jesus analogies, you need to get the facts straight. Jesus chased the money changers out of the Temple, God's house. Jesus did not take on student loans and then get violent when he couldn't pay. Instead of getting violent and chanting nonsense like we are 99 percent, the Occupy movement should look at the cause of the problem. They should demand solutions and start chanting 'End the Fed'. If you do not end the Fed, no other solution will work.
@jamezbond78 So TRUE! Christ stated we should "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, Render unto God that which is God's" I am pretty sure my student loans belong to Caesar... :o) I signed I would pay them thus I am "slave to the debtor" until I pay my debts and "owe no man" Anyone wanting to get religious or bring God into this needs to remember the true stance of the Bible on debt. We are responsible for ourselves through freewill. We must pay back that which we borrow. Good post Grav!!!
Everyone keeps ignoring ending the Federal Reserve, but that is the source of the problem. With the Federal Reserve, the problems will continue. Here is why: there is $15+ Trillion in US debt while only about $10 Trillion in US dollars. So if you take all the dollars in the world, you still cannot pay off the debt. But every new dollar that comes into existence, has to be paid back with debt. Where does that money come from? It has to be borrowed from the Fed with interest. End the Fed!!!!!
@jamezbond78 The Federal Reserve is just as Private and Independent as Wall street with the latter sitting on Federal Reserve boards around the country! WHO enacted the Federal Reserve Act??? CONGRESS DID! The reason being so Congress could spend WITHOUT the public knowing it is being taxed. You want to argue where to demonstrate? DEMONSTRATE in front of Congress or your local Reps office! What they put in place they can undo!!
@jamezbond78 Let me guess, you and "Paytriot" Paul will replace it with magic gold & silver, which will crash like it has the last 4 times, and completely fry the little man since only banks and shyster corporations will have that, because you are not smart enough to know that US Bonds that they use to borrow off of, have nothing to do with YOU, but everything to do with Full Share Citizens. You can easily "pay off the debt", but that would require you to ACTUALLY read the "Constitution".
@Gravija1980 Jesus didn't chase the money changers, he kicked them out of the temple, because the temple of the Lord is house of prayer. This guys is doing what Jesus commanded us to do; to give and love others as ourselves... The occupy movement does nothing for nobody, but keep them occupied thinking they are doing something... lol
@DutchsMaria......Collectivist: yes......Socialist: no. The difference is what Adam is always talking about which is Voluntary participation. We should all be willing to put in the effort to help keep society strong and healthy but it should not be done by force through a government, especially corrupt ones like we have now that abuse the power they get.
@bluekron77......is the glass half full or half empty? You can't really say the "Occupy" movement is not accomplishing anything because there is no way to fully know the extent of the effect. It's Kaos Theory; even the most miniscule variations can effect the outcome. At a minimum, maybe the protests will awaken or get active some people who will play a pivotal role in effecting changes. At maximum, it could unify our country to finally move in a better direction. No way to know yet.
@bluekron77 Nope. Read the bible again. He was so pissed he went home and made a whip (?) then came back the next day and tore shit up. He was against the bankers as you should be
So wait wait wait, was I the only one to notice that this (probably christian) religious man is out there helping the poor. But at the same time wants people to help themselves preemptively, following the age old mantra of "Jesus helps those who helps themselves."
So why is he helping the poor?
Isn't that a tad hypocritical?
Please tell me Adam you saw through that before you started the interview, neigh that was the reason you did the interview.
@Brokoro I don't think that's what the man meant to get across. He's a very nice person, for what that counts for. Hypocritical or not. I don't say that being religious, in fact I'm far from it. I can just respect people who do good for others. Yes, it is quite hypocritical, but it also is helping a very large amount of people in a very good way.
@Brokoro It's not hypocritical at all. You want people to help themselves of their own initiative, but that can't stop you from addressing their immediate needs. Teaching someone to fish isn't helpful if they starve before you finish your lesson.
@Brokoro You clearly didn't understand what he meant. He said instead of people relying on the government for help, they need to help themselves or each other. Free market.
@pnnzr OWS is mostly anti-capitalist, pro-nanny-government socialist. There are however many people down there explaining the difference between capitalism and corporatism to attendees.
are you a believer yourself Adam?

actions are louder than words, and how many of us actually did something?? Adam, thumbs up as always!
scottf78 3 months ago
He hits on a key thing when he speaks of the importance of actions not words, the internet has become a place where a lot of people come to rant & make cool videos & ect, but without any action to go along with it, the internet becomes like this black hole that swallows all this energy up while the world outside remains unchanged. An example is back in 2008 leading up to the ron paul event in DC, with all the hype on the net i was expecting thousands to be there, but only a few hundred show up.

further, few people actually have the skills to help a lot of these guys -
many of them vets
so, no training, no jobs, no funds to start a business, no money for education & you want people to go out there, help a lot of crazy people who should be in a psych hospital, but can't get into one; in the case of vets turned away.
man, quit your popular ego driven job - get a degree in psychiatry, help your brothers walking the streets out
least you have the tax payer educational grants to do it
marniespeaks 3 months ago
DC is full of homeless vets. Since Reagan, it's been a disgrace! & even during the good time when we all had money people wouldn't go out & help the homeless, even the churches can't handle them
People can't help themselves now, like this guy thinks they should, & u expect them to help the mentally ill in order to champion less government?
that said, shouldn't it then b just an honor to serve in the military with no taxpayer perks when you get out? that'd b less government
did u take perks?

@Gravija1980 Are you saying the Occupy movement is about getting violent?
AdamKokesh 3 months ago 37
@AdamKokesh It's an odd paradox, isn't it? Fact is, even if we had 1 mil in the streets, why wouldn't the 1% continue to ignore us? Not that I am condoning violence, but the "Proof is in the Pudding," so to speak. Still, what that guy said is by and large the smartest thing I have heard in a long time. Since the retired and close to retired middle class has come into the fold, it's been about the 79% and everyone has forgotten about the 20% of people who are homeless. (Figures estimated, trolls)
dataphreak 3 months ago
@dataphreak
That's a great question. My thoughts on that is that the problem with the 1% is that they don't quite ignore us enough, and our problem is that we don't ignore them quite enough. If the 1% is all alone, they will achieve nothing, while the rest will get to keep whatever they earn by their own hands, or receive charity without suffering a huge overhead to deliver it.
mad11red 3 months ago
@dataphreak That's a pretty poor estimate. The real figure is closer to 0.2% homeless. It is generally a good idea to actually look up such numbers (it takes mere seconds) before making comments that contain them.

@AdamKokesh Violent is motivated by anger, hatred, vengeace, malice, etc. What he is describing is called ZEAL. GOD didn't call anyone to be cowards. This is also why many Prophets, Apostles and servants died for their faith because they stood against those who would pollute the ways of the Most High.
MrNoogz 3 months ago
@AdamKokesh No he's not saying that. The ubers at Wall Street are itching for it though. So are the militia guys just standing by watching and waiting. If another kid gets hurt, I wouldn't be surprised if the militia doesn't take out a big wig or two to set an example. Could even be a mayor. They would act swiftly and covertly. The protesters themselves demand peace, but they can't control the rest of the populationsas we continue to witness the facist actions of the law authority. V
PissedOffChurchLady 3 months ago

Peace, until and unless!
sailfished 3 months ago
@AdamKokesh No, just trying to bring some light to the "christians" who think Jesus never got pissed off. He definitely was, because he went home and made a whip for them (John 2:15)
Gravija1980 3 months ago
@Gravija1980 Jesus never became violent. He was clearly angry, but never did he strike another man. Showing aggression is man's nature. Jesus, being a man in the flesh, was no doubt tempted to physically hurt them, but instead ran them out. Jesus wasn't a Socialist with Communist dreams either like the majority of these occupying hipsters are.
BeranM 3 months ago

@Gravija1980 Jesus chasing out the money changers includes the issue of property rights. It was God's Holy Temple and Jesus was cleaning house.
PrincesseJen 3 months ago 2
@Gravija1980 We've heard that garbage from others that are looking for an excuse to disregard everything in the Bible.
Anger is not the issue. It's how you allow yourself to react to the anger. If you get mad at yourself for doing something wrong and resolve to do better, then it can be a motivating emotion.

JoeyPencils 3 months ago
@Gravija1980 - If you are going to use Jesus analogies, you need to get the facts straight. Jesus chased the money changers out of the Temple, God's house. Jesus did not take on student loans and then get violent when he couldn't pay. Instead of getting violent and chanting nonsense like we are 99 percent, the Occupy movement should look at the cause of the problem. They should demand solutions and start chanting 'End the Fed'. If you do not end the Fed, no other solution will work.
jamezbond78 3 months ago 3
@jamezbond78 So TRUE! Christ stated we should "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, Render unto God that which is God's" I am pretty sure my student loans belong to Caesar... :o) I signed I would pay them thus I am "slave to the debtor" until I pay my debts and "owe no man" Anyone wanting to get religious or bring God into this needs to remember the true stance of the Bible on debt. We are responsible for ourselves through freewill. We must pay back that which we borrow. Good post Grav!!!
TheFootegirl73 3 months ago
Everyone keeps ignoring ending the Federal Reserve, but that is the source of the problem. With the Federal Reserve, the problems will continue. Here is why: there is $15+ Trillion in US debt while only about $10 Trillion in US dollars. So if you take all the dollars in the world, you still cannot pay off the debt. But every new dollar that comes into existence, has to be paid back with debt. Where does that money come from? It has to be borrowed from the Fed with interest. End the Fed!!!!!
jamezbond78 3 months ago 39
@jamezbond78 The Federal Reserve is just as Private and Independent as Wall street with the latter sitting on Federal Reserve boards around the country! WHO enacted the Federal Reserve Act??? CONGRESS DID! The reason being so Congress could spend WITHOUT the public knowing it is being taxed. You want to argue where to demonstrate? DEMONSTRATE in front of Congress or your local Reps office! What they put in place they can undo!!
DutchsMaria 3 months ago
@jamezbond78 Let me guess, you and "Paytriot" Paul will replace it with magic gold & silver, which will crash like it has the last 4 times, and completely fry the little man since only banks and shyster corporations will have that, because you are not smart enough to know that US Bonds that they use to borrow off of, have nothing to do with YOU, but everything to do with Full Share Citizens. You can easily "pay off the debt", but that would require you to ACTUALLY read the "Constitution".

DutchsMaria 3 months ago
@DutchsMaria......Collectivist: yes......Socialist: no. The difference is what Adam is always talking about which is Voluntary participation. We should all be willing to put in the effort to help keep society strong and healthy but it should not be done by force through a government, especially corrupt ones like we have now that abuse the power they get.
DJKeebler808 3 months ago
@bluekron77......is the glass half full or half empty? You can't really say the "Occupy" movement is not accomplishing anything because there is no way to fully know the extent of the effect. It's Kaos Theory; even the most miniscule variations can effect the outcome. At a minimum, maybe the protests will awaken or get active some people who will play a pivotal role in effecting changes. At maximum, it could unify our country to finally move in a better direction. No way to know yet.

Brokoro 3 months ago
@Brokoro I don't think that's what the man meant to get across. He's a very nice person, for what that counts for. Hypocritical or not. I don't say that being religious, in fact I'm far from it. I can just respect people who do good for others. Yes, it is quite hypocritical, but it also is helping a very large amount of people in a very good way.
arterialshadow 3 months ago
@Brokoro It's not hypocritical at all. You want people to help themselves of their own initiative, but that can't stop you from addressing their immediate needs. Teaching someone to fish isn't helpful if they starve before you finish your lesson.
shamgar001 3 months ago
@Brokoro Nope. Watch the video again. He said there is nothing wrong with helping the poor, which is why he even mentioned private charities.
