Okay thanks for the quick reply and explanation/clarification. I appreciate you posting this on You Tube for all to enjoy. That era had is casualties and also some amazing triumphs and with many wonderful and kind people that still care and serve on those things that matter most in life - and hooray for all of them!

What is the date of this performance? Also, for the Mamas & Papas, who is Lauire Lewis & John Kito? Where they part of the "new" Mamas & Papas? That group consisted of John, Mitchell, Denny & Cass. On the new Mamas & Papas, Spanky took Cass's place and John's daughter Mackenize took Michelle's place. So I don't understand Laurie and John Kito's role with the group, I have never heard of that, could you please explain? Thanks, Mario McCash.

The film clip is from 2001. Kito was the the keyboardist/musical director for the "new" M&Ps. On the front line, there were many changes. Laurie was one of the first to cover for Mackenzie's several bouts at rehab. Denny split early on and was replaced by Scott Mackenzie. Michelle is the only surviving original members and I must say a terrifically sane and sweet lady
