If i This was in my piano book under Polovtsian Dance. I automaticaly reconised it i didnt know why but aparently my grand mother used to play it. She died when i was 3 though...
It's so great of you to upload one of Tony Bennett's golden classic song such as this one- i really do appreciate your efforts in putting this together. Just added the "like" ratings to a 110.
I always think of my Dad when I hear this song. After he and my Mom divorced, he moved to the New Orleans area, which became a "paradise" for him. He enjoyed almost 17 years in this paradise, but it just wasn't long enough.
We've been strangers too long. You know I'm in love with you, and I need you in my life...let me sit at your knees and hold your legs. I'm a mortal next to you.. I worship you so my love..I love you. Yet now I sit alone and cry myself to sleep so many times. I know your out there.. -UW
Why would Borodin have any sort of problem with people finding new ways to appreciate his peerless melodies? If anything he would be flattered that his music has remained so inspiring and relevant.
when my dear old dad passed away ,we played this it was so so sad , when i hear this i think of a sweet man ,a diamond , i wish i could a chin wag with him now , dont wait until its to late ,life is over in a blink of an eye , pick the dog and bone up and have a chat i wish i did and more then any thing i wish i could now ,,, thanks for the music mytokar very sweet
What a beautiful interpretation of this song. I think there is a similarity in mystical experience and love between human beens. At least is what I feel with this music and lyric.
The real name of this song is "Polovetsian dances", composed originally by Alexander Borodin, for his opera "Prince Igor".The producers of the musical "Kismet" just stolen it from him, you can see it by searching "Polovetsian dances" in youtube.
