The past provides the structure of the present and lends to the direction for the future, so all comments saying "its in the past move on" are just plain stupid. The past is not something to be ignored, it is to be taken note of and learned from to better the future. And that is exactly what this song does, it stands testament to the acts of that day and the misguided notions that fueled them, independent of generalizations or judgement or anything else. The song's fine, perfect even.

A powerful song. Dream Theater takes a side against what happened that day, but what I think is the amazing thing is that they don't seem to condemn those who did this -- they pity them. They've been steered wrong and need to be shown the right path again, not killed. Dream Theater, you've blown me away yet again.
