How did you run the bass thru? Was it hook up thru ampeg amp or was it mic up?

@popitn2nd I run it through a built-in piezo pickup into my Ampeg Microstack and pick it up with an EV Cardinal condenser mic into my computer.

This evening i discovered the u-bass and i saw 10 vids of it.. No one played this new kind of bass as well as you. It has a good sound, far from the ashbury bass with silicone strings.

wow this was great. we're thinking about buying a ubass tomorrow.  I think it's a mahogany version.... will see it tomorrow. Hopefully it will add a nice touch to our folk performances.

@thesebinextdoor Yep, we just got it today. It sounds great, and I think you're correct about it adding to folk music.  I used to play an upright bass in folk and bluegrass music, and I swear this totally has the feel of playing that upright. I think it will add an interest factor for our audience as well. "What is that a ukulele, a bass, come on what is it?" We'll answer, "Yep."

Perfect choice. Never thought that such a "smooth" instrument will siut this kind of harde music. I must say, i like this version even more than the original. Too bad its not that good sound quality. Is there a chance to get a mp3?

btw... It would be interesting to find out what Iron Maiden would say about this cover, I am pretty sure they would lought, say wtf and love it ;)

@segafr33k I wasn't sure if the uke and the ubass would fit the song, but it was very tempting to simply try it out :) there are different website that will help you get an MP3 from this video. Just search for Youtube to MP3. Yeah, would be interesting to know what Iron Maiden thinks of my tribute. :)
