This has been one of the very, very best "travelogue" stories about humans and nature. The videography was simple but superbly done. The scenes of nature & animals --- & two simple, vulnerable humans among them --- were straightforward, authentic, without fancy camera work, exaggerated shots, etc. Thank you, Leane & Karsten, for this 6 month's of traveling being edited into a one hour documentary about one of the last great herds of life on earth. Superb story telling!
This was wonderful. I watched all of it (in one sitting with a food break :P), and I was captivated with every last second of the film. I grew up watching the Discovery & History Channels so I have seen TV shows that feature wildlife, but this takes it to another level. I know I wouldn't last 5 hours in this environment, so it's really great to be able to experience such a beautiful place through Youtube, NFB, and of course, Leanne & Karsten. Good luck with your project & I will spread the vid!
I'm doing a book response to this novel in my English class. I have to say, the movie is just as beautiful as the novel~
