He started his boxing career at 160 as a middleweight and has now taken punches from guys in the heavyweight division. With over 80+ pro fights 37 amatuer fights and countless sparring sessions you can only imagine the damage the guy has sustained throught his life time. His speach was not always as slurred, but this happens to many fighters. Look at Ali for example.

well the fight was silly to most people but the guy did have a chance at a one punch knock out so you do have to take that seriously. toney doing the mouthing off like ali or macho camacho or some wwe guy added to the pay per view orders im sure. some of the guys in my bjj class used to box and they feel toney was out of shape. they say he should be ashamed of himself to show up to a fight like that and if randy showed up for a boxing match hed make sure he was in the best condition possible.
That fight was soooo predictable, but it's not like Randy didn't announce his strategy a 1000 times. He said it at every interview. Get Toney down on the ground or up against the cage and submit him. There was no point in that fight where Toney would have benefited from it being a street fight. An undercard MMA fighter could beat a Boxing champion in a street fight.

There was no point in that fight where Toney would have benefited from it being a street fight. There are very few rules in MMA it is the closest thing so you have to assume that the Champions of MMA would be the champions if there were no rules as well. An undercard MMA fighter could beat a Boxing champion in a street fight.

The fight was so embarrassing that it was funny to watch. However, it was not fulfilling in the sense that we got to see a great fight that goes down in history.
