On 28 March 2006 The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) was merged with other Scottish Infantry Battalions to form the Royal Regiment of Scotland. The title of the battalion is now The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

I don't know where you got the whole part about foundation of stability, stability in England actually began with the Magna Carta and later on the transformation into a democratic constitutional monarchy, both of which removed power from the royal familiy who were basically a dynasty of tyrants. like I said, they should be made fun of as much as anyone else, if not more because of the inbreeding.

Yeah, well as far as the Magna Carta went, the reigning king was a part of it, so says history. And, any laws usually have to have the approval of the reigning queen/king, so their importance is valued. Just because members of the Royal family don't sit in the House of Lords, doesn't mean they don't have higher responsibilities.

Argh I really felt for this soldier when he fell. My son has guarded the palace, and the path that the lads have to walk along is like marbel. So when it is wet, and they have metal caps underneath their boots, it makes it very slippery. xx
