  • Crap man, that giant bird almost got hit!

  • yay

  • imagine them tricking you into thinking that its a space rocket but its actually a nuke on its way to iran or china

  • Rocket: 1

    Guile: 0

  • for those of you who are tl;dw, it's 1:53

  • youtube is being shitty today and the hd wont load... :/

  • Filmed by Michael J Fox.

  • I'm sorry, but I wanted to punch the camera operator in the face.

  • @LokcedUot You do not understand the difficulty in filming this. It looks like it has been filmed from the causeway. That is a couple of miles away from the launch site. This means there is a lot of zoom used. This makes any small camera movements seem exaggerated on the video.

Unless you have a big heavy camera on a top quality tripod you are going to need a pistol grip for your camera and a lot of practise to properly frame the rocket during its flight.

You got any video of rockets?

  • It's a double shockwave.

  • it's like a giant dildo entering sky's vagina.

  • yeah oh wow

  • Can you hear the man that sounds like Woody out of Toy Story? He goes, "Oh, wow! Hahaha"

  • 1:53からどうぞ♫

  • could it have anything to do with the rocket leaving the gravitational field of earth?

  • @Assafro No, it's breaking the sound barrier. Moving faster than sound.

  • Whoa.... sonic rainboom all the way... across the screen...

  • wow, it looked allmost fake !

  • Nyan cat just got pwned...! >:-D

  • 1:50 thumbs up to save time

  • Bloodeh brilliant!

  • Aw. Ninja'd. Should'a posted when I first saw it.

  • Awsome 0-o

  • 2:00 omggggggggggg

  • very cool! I didn't even know what a sun dog was until I did a little research after spotting ones on both sides of the sun last weekend. Then I found this AWESOME video!

  • Looked like the sky was about to break into a dream sequence.

  • @bladerunner12 more like entering a picture in super mario 64 :D

  • Coolest thing I've ever seen during a launch!! Great video!!

  • i bet that was magical to see.

  • Why is there a giant metal dildo flying to space?

  • don't get me wrong, this is awesome!

  • ...it looks like a rocket dildo.

  • @adabomb Did you realize this is not a Space Shuttle?

  • LAME, rainbow dash makes them better

  • I love Physics after watch this viideo

  • i was about to rewind it but then it said "DO IT AGAIN" lol XD

  • What, a sonic boom AND a rainbow? It's a Sonic Rainboom!

  • @UltimateMastodon no sadly it is not

  • youtube needs a slomo button

  • americas dick fucking the earth

  • @Fierag Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. ha. hahahah. hahahaha!1

Comparing an oblong object to a penis. That's brilliant. Where do you come up with clever associations like that?!1?

Technically it's fucking the sky and eating (out) the earth but don't let that stop you on your stand up tour. Up next, China's Long March dick - fucking the earth, Russia's Soyuz dick - fucking the earth, India's SLV - fucking the earth, and the French baguettes. Those are just tasty with butter.

  • But it's going so slow...takes 4 seconds for it to clear the launch thingy...fake an gay

  • @C0mm3n you sir, are fake and gay

  • @legomaster335 ...ohhhh look at you

  • @C0mm3n what, that im smarter than you?

  • the power of friendship

  • It amazes me how far mankind has come with techknowledgy in the last century.

  • It's cool and all but what if the bird wuz there then whatmwould happen to the bird?

  • @kurtcobainfan76 when you say "the bird" i assume you mean Larry Bird and I'm sure he could handle it.

  • N.A.S.A. -where man and physics meet the void. Minus the manned part due to budget cuts.

  • the song at the beginning.. i know its from starwars obviously, but what is it called? cause its not the force theme (binary sunset) but a variation.

  • @meetsouder It's Main Title: Rebel Blockade Runner

  • @beachton123 THANK YOU I LOVE YOU (no homo)

  • @beachton123 thanks man

  • @meetsounder: err no its not its the throne room theme from the end of star wars. When they get the medals from Mon Mothma.

  • @beachton123 No, I believe it's from the final scene in the throne room and end credits of Ep IV.

  • @meetsouder It's "The throne room and End Title". Played during the medal ceremony at the end of Star Wars Episode IV.

  • @GuyFoxxx thanks, even though found out my self XD

  • @meetsouder It's the Throne Room theme from A New Hope.

  • @meetsouder It's "Throne Room".

  • STARWARS MUSIC FTW!

  • Man it nearly hit that bird!

  • @draevon1 but the bird was faster ;)

  • So cool it looks fake

  • I've seen the same thing.. I think it was just a satellite being launched, it was sunset, and it created these star pattern bursts as it traveled through different layers of the atmosphere!!!

  • witchcraft!!!! lol

  • Starts 1:50

  • This is the best video I ever see, what a beautiful video! Thx for upload! :D

  • awsome!

  • hafd

  • That is not ice crystals. That is a plasma double layer the rocket is penetrating.

  • that is very cool

  • 65 people knew that Sundog personally.

  • FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE! its so not natural the only option is that the video is FAKE!

  • @Tuzzz94 FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE! You're so fucking retarded so you are FAKE!

  • @Tuzzz94 STFU ya stupid ass troll! Your whole fucking life is a FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE!!

  • Wow that's so unbelievable. It almost look like a bad special effect from photoshop. I wish I could have been their to see such an amazing thing

  • @jalene150 And so it is. I really can't believe all you guys believe in this bad photoshopping, get real there are fake videos all over youtube.

  • @Tuzzz94 Yeah, because you know what you're talking about right? Don't make me laugh.

  • Wow never saw that type of shockwave before, awesome video.

  • Wow that was amazing

  • Rainbow Dash could have done it in 10 seconds flat.

  • As great as the digital revolution is...I wish it came with a tripod for more people!

  • And that is how NASA got their cutie marks

  • @The1apprentice It makes me proud to know that there are other bronies watching this. Maybe Rainbow dash was the pilot?

  • 2:08 niezły widok

  • great another hole in the ozone xD

  • Where have Mankinds dreams gone?

    watch?v=2rXtG3vfAlA

  • Good thing the bird didn't get hit at 00:53

  • 1:52

  • Magic starts at 1:53

  • fucking awesome

  • The atmosphere should've gone home and been a family man.

  • beachton123---THANKS for POSTING! And when you re-played it the 3rd time --I immediately said: "Oh GOOD!" GREAT post!!

  • chemical sky's

  • That... was ... the... coolest thing ever! thanks for the video. I really appreciate it :D

  • Not a supersonic shock wave. its a roket engine gas shock wave.

  • It's simply the rocket passing through a cloud...

  • Nice I wanna see it in person now

  • AW WOW HAHAHAHAAA

  • Awesome !!!

  • what an amazing experience. I think that it is a miracle that we have the technology to send people ad payloads into orbit. What a beautiful sight to see the sound barrier broken like that!!

  • i saw that wen i was on vacation

  • THE QUALITY'S AMAZING T-T

  • Reminds me of movies where invisible space shield or electric field allows a ship to pass through. If the shield was on the rocket would spin out of control or blow up. This demonstrates how HAARP WORKS WITH CHEMTRAIL PARTICLES to protect us from missiles. Those recent swirls in night sky around the world demonstrate the shield in action. It disables missiles if needed.

  • 1:53 awesome! Very cool video. Incredible footage of physics in action. Simply marvelous... :D

  • Poor little bird. Must be scared out of its mind.

  • 0:52 bird almost got hit XD

  • Everyone wants to know what that sounded like. What a tard for not showing us!

  • is the giant ripple the rocket breaking through the atmohsphere?

  • One of the most amazing pieces of video footage I've ever seen. Love it. Thankyou. :-)

  • One of themost amaxing piece sof video footage I've ever seen. Love it. Thankyou. :-)

  • 1:45 thumbs up for efficiency

  • 1:53 is that HAARP?

  • @sebcore71 no

  • Wow thats weird, I never saw that before and never heard it talked about.

    Cool video.

  • That is ridiculously cool!

  • i only searched this cus i was thinking of guile from street fighter when it said sonic boom on the title

  • yes. its very real

  • Just saw this on TV here in Japan. :-) Don't know what they were saying but heard the words Sonic Boom.

  • @shippainoki Thanks for letting me know! I couldn't find any mention of the show online. But I did have fun looking on the fujitv .co.jp website! It's like a carnival on my computer!

  • @shippainoki in Japan you say? you heard them say Sonic Boom? That leads me to believe that they were referring to Guile. S. Fighter

  • this is amazing. the wave moved the rainbow

  • stupid clounds ruin the moment

  • @etvaldo85 REAL

  • This video will be included in The World's Most Amazing Videos on Fuji TV on September 25, 2010. If you're in Japan let me know if they explain Snell's Law properly. They better! --Beachton123

  • is that real??

  • muito bom. maravilhoso. I'm brazilian. I liked...

  • WHOA!!!!!!!!! that is carsy as hell

  • It looks computer generated, That's insane.

  • 音速の壁って言うんですか?不思議なものですねえ。実物を見てみたい。

  • I CAN'T BELIVE MY EYES!

  • this is the coolest thing i've ever seen

  • Hah the video was before 1 day of my B-Day it is

  • Fascinating - thanks for showing us this. I saw my first sundog last night, at least the first I'd recognised as such, so it 's really interesting to see this. Thanks.

  • @Anomalocaris42 How do you see a sundog at night?

  • @CessnaPilot99 You can but at the time its usually near the brighter moon, sometimes it can be seen as a halo or a ring around the moon and sometimes under some conditions a rainbow around the moon.

  • Whoa!

  • Why did they choose a liquid fuelled rocket for that launch??

  • @Maccer229 Atlas V always has a liquid fueled rocket engine. liquid is used over solids because of efficiency.

  • That was brilliant!! Are they a common occurence at this location or was it fluke that the rocket went supersonic at that precise place?

  • @djouroboros Its not that the rocket went supersonic at exactly that point, as it was already traveling faster than sound by then. The shockwave is a continuous phenomenon that continues during the entire supersonic flight. It caused the very first ripple, but all ripples after that were caused by the rocket engine itself, which basically is a continuous explosion. The angle of the sun and clouds allowed you to see them, which would otherwise be invisible.

  • that was insane!

  • I am sure it was supersonic befor that lol. Cool video.

  • i was there!!!!it was so COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oups sorry your a MAM ;o)

  • WTF man 60 dislike, geez some people are really sad in life! man this clip is a kick ass one in a life time shot! Cheers for the upload man!

    5 on 5

subbed and added as a friend!

  • Now THAT was amazing.....Thanks for posting!

  • what happened with that was it faster than sound or what?

  • What the?

  • The guy that laughs at the end sounds like Woody from Toy Story

  • That... was EXTREMELY COOL!!

  • That... was EXTREMELY COOL!!

  • whoa nice! this is crazy, not quite as cool as a double rainbow tho :P lol

  • Thats not a sundog

  • C'est bien...

  • That's amazing hehe but you need to learn how to keep your camera steady dude. Nice video never the less though.

  • whats sun dog?

  • someone in the background is making a very strange sound around 1:58 Its probably the most creepy acknowledgment of seeing something i have ever heard a person make. "heye heyu heyu hey" 0_o

  • I'm going to see the AEHF-1 Atlas V launch at the end of July, could I know where this was taken?

  • @Tyrannobeast In front of the building with the Saturn 5 rocket in it at Kennedy Space Center. You go there on launch day and pay to get in the visitor's center then take a bus to the Apollo Center.

  • sounds like tom hanks

  • WTF?! 1: 55

  • sweeeeeeeet

  • very cool

  • Very cool

  • Wow~ I was there, didn't see that from my vantage point near US1 and FL 50. What a great shot!

  • Il cono della barriera del suono!!!

  • simply amazing

  • @0croaker0 yeah. first stage engines of this missile is russian-made "RD-180"

  • cool!!

  • Beach, I think labeling this video as "Sonic Boom" is a little misleading. The continual rippling action is clearly not caused by the rocket traveling faster than sound. The supersonic shock front would consist of one strong wave. What we are seeing in these videos is the continual stream of shockwaves caused by the rocket's engine, regardless of speed. When you see a launch in person, you feel and hear the successive waves as the distinctive "popping" commonly associated with large launches.

  • @philritter21 dont show u think to much :) you can see the ripples from the back wash from the rocket after it has passed through that (shall we say sundog layer)im thinking the ripple is from the noise of the engine,i see a video from a far away over a lot of water and what they thought was the sonic boom was rocket sounding, dont know if the sound could carry on the boom wave(you can also see the build up of pressure still on the nose of rocket, think it dont brake MAC 1 till the contrail,

  • there are a fire rainbown in 1:51

  • wow :)

  • Awesome!

  • Engine is RD-180?
