  • this guy does steroids. his weenier isnt very big.

  • The two things i find are ruining surfing

Huge corporate companies that dictate how surfing competitions go and who is allowed to make it and who isn't

    and number two

Aggressive people who view surfing as a trend and not a connection with the ocean, people who don't respect anyone but im not only referring to foreigners, i've come across (and sadly) many very very aggressive locals that would beat up someone just for trying to have fun at their local break.

  • What about the Hawaiians coming to Tahiti and trying to take over? It has happened more then once. They had to be told to leave Moorea and Huahine. Both times it was high ranking Hui members causing problems. Micky and Perry to be frank.

  • AE Tautoko ehoa, its been happening for generations tu meke bro

  • Read your history: In ancient Hawaii surf competitions were man on man and life and death matters with the winner taking the land of the loser and sometimes his life. All about "mana" in a warrior culture.

  • thats my uncle anybody like bang....north shore

  • @krip638 STFU!! you sound like a dummy

  • respect from California. I'm with you Tahiti

  • Sorry guy da hui was born n raised in hawaii

They have right of way out on their waters. Don't like den get outta Hawaii. It's like dis in all nesian islands. Even here on guam. Just respect all locals and we will respect you back.

  • Still, all pro surfing is just plain horrible for the 99.9% who just love to surf. Most could really care less about the ASP or Da Hui really. The bottom line is they're just groups trying to take more so that others can have less. They can disguise it behind whatever they choose.Rent the public beach, invite your friends and put up your banners, but most genuine people don't surf for "sponsors", but for their souls. Who wants to be "recognized' surfing anyway? Strange what surfing has become.

  • nice c-cup tits. baaahahahahahaha! big roid head huh? asp is easily the best surfers, not chicken heads from hawaii. this is a JOKE!

  • nice c-cup tits. baaahahahahahaha! big roid head huh? asp is easily the best surfers, not chicken heads from hawaii.

  • well said!

  • Ride with Pride...Maui Built...da hui...down with corporate greed and the ruination of a culture for greed....down with the asp

  • Most interesting thing I've heard come from Da Hui. Great letter and very understandable. The ASP needs to recoginze Tahitti.

  • ah da hui

  • AMEN!!!! POLYNESIAN PRIDE!!!!!!

  • they (asp) are surfing fashon models who sell clothing made by slaves in china and indonesia to weak minded consumers. it's a fraud folks, wake up to it.

surfing has been ruined by marketing and sales. stop buying all the bullshit holllywood clothing. respect the locals, share culture(if you happen to have one), and spread the old school surfing stoke. the rest is bullshit.

  • @pablocruiser : Real stuff... I agree. It took reading your comment to realize it. Thanks for opening my eyes

  • why only tahiti? why not let in 16 south africans for j-bay, spaniards for mundaka, californians and trestles, etc etc. Do da hui care about them?

  • well Bobby came out on top good for him hes a great person

  • That's the way! well done ! Surf is dead!! Long live soul surfing!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck the ASP... they are like fucking locusts that go around the world..exposing and exploiting surf breaks for their own benefit and at the expense of the local riders. the majority of the 'surf industry' is just a bunch of coroporate fucks out to line their pockets and burn your spots.

how the fuck can you bar local tahitians from competing at thier own spot????!!!

its like being a guest in somebodys house and barring them sleeping in their own bed.fuck the ASP!!

  • Is there any research on the economic impact of Billabong in Tahiti? And if there were trials that were to be different here, wouldn't it be fair to apply such an approach around the world. The argument here is that the locals are the best (what criteria - current ASP criteria?) surfers at Teahupoo and that the current system locks them out from proving that point. Such an argument might be taken up at breaks around the world? Be good to hear whether this opinion is a commonly held one.

  • I wish INVAD was able to keep up with Billabong - It's time for the local surf brands to take over. Maururu

    Allez nana brad
