This movie is another masterpiece in this wonderful franchise. Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita were brilliant as always. Tamlyn Tomita and Danny Kamekona were great too but I still missed Macchio's screen mother, she was very impressive in original movie. Anyway, The Karate Kid 2 was great sequel. They put more philosophy in it plus we can find out more about Miyagi's origin. I miss the 80's
@Cubanito884 That's what I was thinking. She still does some acting today and she voiced as a cyberbond girl in the videogame 007 Nightfire. BTW, a cyberbond girl is bond girl in a videogame.
I think daniel was a big fucken pussy and if chozen really fought him he probly would have literally killed him wich would have been a great ending. And at his funeral his Terry Silver and John Krease shit in his coffin. The Priest doing the funeral would have said "Daniel lived as a pussy and he died as one before we close the coffin please feel free to spit on him and punch him as hard as you can with whatever you have in hand." "And if you need to shit do it on his coffin, PLEASE" RIP faggot
Having been born and raised in Okinawa and Tokyo and being a dedicated practitioner of Goju-Ryu Karate (the one displayed in these movies) i assure you that aside from normal minor Hollywoodifications and dramatisations, that the movies were pretty accurate.
there is not a single technique that resembles goju ryu, the movie is a joke, i dont know how you claim its pretty accurate. can you tell me in what way they were accurate?
You seem to believe that all martial arts practitioners of the same style do things identically. All schools and styles have there own way of performing certain techniques. I had to change karate schools about 4 times because my mom liked to move alot and everytime i changed schools i had to spend about $200 on private lessons adjusting the way i did my Katas and basics.
(To get back to your question)
Aside from the "wax-on wax-off" bullshit in the first movie everything in the movies...
Is pretty accurate to the foundations of the style. Dumbed down and stripped of any detail but accurate none the less.
It should also be noted that this movie was made in the 80's and the supposed "right way of doing things" in Goju-Ryu seems to change every other month.

the karate kid was an insult to martial arts, and an even bigger insult to the okinawan people.
