  • you gotta remember though that the hp will decrease from flywheel to rear wheels and the torque will increase after being sent through the box n diff which are torque multipliers, which sounds more believable, however the power output is a bit high

  • correct, but a 200HP loss from flywheel to diff is a big problem, if thats a 720 pony vehiclke and its brunin like that...they need a tremec...BAD

  • i can almost 100% certainly garuntee with 720 ponies thru a clevo...its got alot more than 590 Ft/lb of torque...you lookin more along the like of atleast 850...but even then...i doubt that particular GS is 720hp...if it is its the most sluggish 720 ponies ive ever seen..id say that GS has perhaps 500 - 550 ponies at the rears

  • um...if u have a 200+ HP loss from flywheel to wheels...there is a BIG ASS problem...as for makin that kinda torque from a small block...um where have u been the last 30 years? the Forrd 250 XFlow or 4.1L made nearly 900ft/lb torque in 1981 when john goss threw an XD falcon out on WSID for a weekend strip meet, small cubes dont mean shit u can stroke small blocks out to insane cubes these days...look at gary myers 289 windsor block thats stroked to 500, go figure

  • correct its a GS 302 body...not sure if its a 302 engine tho..little bastards got some kick..sounds like a 302 but a mildy worked 351 can pull of the same note

  • a loss of 150-200hp through drivetrain is not too uncommon through an auto box, especially when making big power and convertor slip becomes a problem. 550ft/lb of torque at the flywheel could easily mean 800+ ft/lb at the rears when sent through the box + diff.

  • ya but with the right drivetrain that wouldnt happen n ya still keep the torque aspect aswell, i mean my ZK fairlane at the moment is sittin on 750 naturally aspirated ponies n i got nearly 900Nm torque, the step up block i made cause the sroked 460 wouldnt fit the box im usin, i got a Genuine Ford C4 Manualised auto not a borg warner, n the diff is just an EL XR8 one last time i had it on the dyno both engine and drivetrain modes, i only had a 14hp loss thru the link up

  • i have to switch the box soon tho im droppin the dual S/chargers on in september this year i have a 4/71 and im gettin a 6/71 for my b'day in september so it'll all be goin together i have a suspicion im gonna needa a stronger box tho, even tho the Ford C4 is almost bullet proof on its own without being modded i dont think its gonna be able to handle the 1200 ponies im tryin to get
