i have 2 of these subs and mine are 250rms so i doubt these are 150rms. mine are the same but the k in the middle of the sub is different to mine. i'm running my subs on a 250watts per channel amp rms wattage and my subs are perfectly matched.

I got one of these would a older model fosgate punch 160a2 amp power it decently? It's rated 80 watts by 2 at 2 ohms.

Hmm it must be really clean power if these subs were single 4 ohms each to be ran by a kx 1200.1. If these subs are single 8 ohms each, the kx 1200.1 would push these subs to the recommended rms.

@Invin86rs if your subs were new it could have been the lacquer on the voice coils burning and setting. its normal to have a bit of a smell for the first couple days of pushing them.

@aaronNtexas It depends, how many ohms are each sub? I know most K.comps are single voice coils. Match the final ohm load with the rms watts which are needed.

@aqnlax go to kicker.com and you can get any kicker product u want, I have 2 kicker comp 15's with an MD sound 2400 watt amp, it's way to much power for em as far as wattage but they handle it quite well

I used to have this but older subs, single voice coil CVX two 12s and it hit hard, , id doesnt last on my hans, I keep playing loud bass and bass cd, so the braded wires gave up but the coil still good. surrounds and cone is tough !!
