Used to love this song so much I recorded it with my tape recorder held up to the television. I used to play that tape at night. Listening to this now, I could sing every lyric, down to Mokey's yawn and Gobo saying his last line about taking a snooze. lol
yes we must not let anyone share this terrible positive and uplifting music and ideals with others so stop the embedding of such poisonous videos as this immediately (this is a sarcastic statement in case you wondered).....????em is it just me why have they prevented embedding of this video.
This was great, but I will admit (and this has probably been posted more times then anybody cares to count) that I was expecting the STYX song. I think the Fraggles would have done an amazing job with it.
Please support the FB campaign to see Fraggle Rock become a feature length film! I would give a link but Youtube won't let me. Look up Fraggle Rock the movie Page (not under entertainment).
@kamelion7 Fortunately, Travelling Matt was usually limited to about 30 seconds of screen time per episode, leaving us patient folks with 21:30 of great show!
I own this DVD. This song is lovely and classic, no doubt. I love it but of all the 24 episode in this first season, I admire all ...except this one episode. I think Fraggles here, are projected a little TOO dumb, if they can't locate the ever-so-bright so shiny FULL moon OVER their head in the open Gorg garden but instead keep believing they have captured it some non-descript places like the barrel and all. Otherwise Seasons 1 and 2, I love. Going to buy Season -3 DVD.
In 1982, following the success of Sesame Street, an organization of Ministers approached Muppets' creator Jim Henson about the idea of doing a Christian-Themed children's tv show, going so far as to make rudimentary puppets of Christ and St Peter. Henson said he'd consider it, but the idea was ultimately rejected. In 1983 the Henson-produced Fraggle Rock, a show that focused on a group of Demons living in the 1st circle of Hell, debuted. Later that year Henson was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
im a 90's kid but i used to steal my older brothers tapes of this show, i love it, i agree that the kids shows back then are way better than they are now
fraggle rock was a work of genius, on par with dr. seuss imo, from a rare and gifted genius, jim henson. his brilliance and spirit will never fade as long as his work is shared by the generations.
pass this down with noble kindness, friends. i know i will, to my nephew when he turns 1, and my own children should i ever have any.
Great to see a show for children with excellent original music! Producers and programmers think kids are dumb and dont appreciate thoughtful and quality production, but they DO. Kids are smart until you dumb stuff down--they are like sponges and if you produce shit for them, that is what they will produce in return.
I keep saying exactly the same thing. You look at TeliTubbies and In The Night Garden compared to Fraggle Rock and thre's no wonder kids are growning up with nothing but random noises in their heads.
I don't think it's that they THINK kids are dumb... the WANT them to grow up dumb so they'll be weak willed and properly idiocized so as to be susceptible to whatever STUPID ideas, thoughts and suggestions they're fed by 'the powers that be'.
I love how Mokey's voice sounds so bell-like when she sings this song. I used to be WAY into Fraggle Rock, but I still think the songs are really pretty, especially this one. This is the best one I've heard. Funny how she puts herself to sleep. Its like when Pokemon use sing. I love how Gobo and Wembley back her up and Junior's snoring makes it sound nice too. I also love how Red's voice has so much expression in it and she sounds so playful. (Not sex though) Keep posting!
the artistic ones can be moody and unpredictable...but they always leave the deepest imprints on your soul...like Mokey :D
