If you happen to come down to SFL, you should check out the Memorial Hospital down in Hollywood. They've got an interesting variety of elevators. Not gonna give to much away, but happen to have tons of separate elevator banks that are close together for some odd reason. In fact, in small one hallway alone, I counted 15 elevators. I don't know the exact, but I did ride an elevator that was labeled as elevator 31 if that doesn't tell you how many there are there.
Nice elevator, but the part left out was 'tour of the basement of Grady Hospital'. Why did you decide not to go to floor 'B' especially in this video?
To answer the comment below...the reason there are only key holes for certain floors...they public can't go into those areas...typically mental health emergency crisis prevention areas.
@musicfreakcc nice that still runs that well. those buttons are clean. another acme floor counter. Umass Amherst had still has one elevator like that. search for 'Umass Amherst GRC elevator'.
If you plan to make more, could you try to include a shot up the shaft when the doors open. Some elevators show clear veiw up inside the shaft. Just a suggestion since we always look inside them. Thanks. And thanks for sharing.
The door looked a little loose. That reminds me of when I rode the Chicago O'Hare elevator from concourse level to the underground tunnel connecting concourses B and C. They have the double 2-speed doors. And the 2nd panel from the left was very flabby and shook back and forth when the elevator was moving.
yeah like mostly those frieght elevators but Ive seen in an old elevator non cargo elevator that had 2 speed doors at this hotel and its weird all the hotels that Ive been to dont have cargo elevator I think they should since peopel would have lugage and suit cases bags

Either that or they're just for storage. A building that size could easily have an entire floor as a giant closet.

This indicator also looks like the one at the original WTC.

thegrudge58 4 years ago
Maybe 40-50 years old. All of the elevators there are in great condition for their age.

I think 2 speed doors are mostly in older elevators
patricknedz 4 years ago
But those are also in cargo elevators and at the Strong Memorial Hospital.
