I have four siamese cats, two of which are tabby one blue point and one has pink paws, is that lavender point?, mother is blue point father tabby, son is tabby and the daughter is the lavender. possibly the most playful cats in the world! especially as we hand reared the kittens there crazy!
They have an ALBINO GENE in their make-up which removes some of the black from certain areas of their fur, but it is still GENETICALLY BLACK FUR.
AS SUCH, BOTH OF MY CORNISH REX CARRY THE SIAMESE GENE, THWIP! BEING BLACK DOES NOT MEAN HE DOES NOT CARRY THE SIAMESE GENE IT MERELY MEANS HE IS NOT DISPLAYING THE ALBINO PART.
From one of those Cornish Rex you breed with another Cornish Rex.
However, because the kitten's have one of their Grandparents being a Siamese, the Siamese Gene may still be present even though it hasn't shown itself with the first line of kittens.
So, we may have a situation that the grandchildren of three Cornish Rex and one Siamese, using the Cornish Rex line, will still have Siamese looking kittens in the litter.
However, the MUTANT GENE which gives Cornish Rex their distinctive curly coats is a RECESSIVE GENE. This means in most cases if you had two Cornish Rex parents you are likely to only get about [50]% of the kittens to have the RECESSIVE GENE. In the case I am discribing only [4] of the kittens look like Cornish Rex and it is possible that only [2] of them may have the RECESSIVE GENE.

ALL SIAMESE CATS ARE ACTUALLY BLACK!!!
They have an ALBINO GENE in their make-up which removes some of the black from certain areas of their fur, but it is still GENETICALLY BLACK FUR.

In the Case of BOTH SNIKT! AND THWIP! they are [31] parts Cornish Rex and [1] part Siamese.
The SI-REX colouring has come through on SNIKT! but not THWIP!
BUT THEY ARE BOTH CORNISH REX NOT SIAMESE!!!
Now, the here comes the twist in the tail.

Still, you take the Cornish Rex looking kittens, using the ones with RECESSIVE GENE and breed again to the third generation.
By this time, much of the characteristics of the Siamese will have been bred out and the Cornish Rex gene re-enforced.
However, the colourings may still be present.
This form of colouring is called SI-REX.

[4] of them may look like Cornish Rex and [4] of them may look like Siamese.
Now, this is about breeding Cornish Rex, so you don't breed from the Siamese looking ones, you breed from the Cornish Rex looking ones.

As far as I know this is how it works if you want to breed Cornish Rex.
Because Cornish Rex are a very new breed, Every third or fourth generation you need to bring in a different breed to strengthen the Gene pool.
You take two different breeds, (in this case Cornish Rex and Siamese).
They get together and the female has kittens.
She may have up to [8] kittens or so.

@AmericanDreamBath Are you American? I ask because Cornish Rex have been bred in Britain for 50 years so aren't a very new breed over here.
