Playing at a desk gets you closer to the screen and you see more in the game and pay more attention to it, also the graphics on pc make the game clearer and easier to see, whereas playing at a couch/chair with fuzzy, sluggish gameplay on a stretched tv screen isn't precise for a first person shooter.

Besides, games are meant to be played for fun, not all of this "serious MLG crap".
