hey I need you to answer this, how can you max out the game with playable fps?? mine got playable fps but not close to high everything on except 1280x720, did you download any patch?
Stuttering/mini-freezing is usually caused by low memory. ME2 is not too heavy on RAM usage though as it is only a 32-bit app (and not LAA), so the cause is most likely due to not having enough video memory on your GFX card. On my GTX 470's I have observed ME2 using 700-800MB of VRAM quite often...
You can pick up a GTX 260 (896MB) these days for a stupidly low price that will run ME2 completely stutter-free with 50-60fps at 1280x1024 and 8xAA (I know this from personal experience!)
i know i reply a bit late. but that stuttering you got there is due to slow hardware. your graphicscard is slow, your cpu is slow and your amount of ram is low and probably too slow aswell. you shoud not play this game on a computer cheaper than the game itself. may i suggest you get a way faster cpu. get atleats 4gb ram and a gtx460 or better.
@pumaile use Task manager to lower the processor affinity of the "MassEffect2.exe".
Open your savegame, wait the game load until you see your Shepard then press Ctrl+Tab should skip to your desktop then press again Ctrl+Alt+Del, click on Process tab, right click "MassEffect2.exe" then go to "Set Priority" and set it to the lowest settings,if it's not working go to Bioware's tech support forum, single core computers always bugging much for newer PC games...
the game is loading textures, freezes only occure when walking long distances without any cutscenes in the middle, during cutscenes the game is streaming in textures too
@GhostKiller85 It is special effects for the graphics to make it more lovely. You can turn it off via Launcher > Configuration > Video. Anyway, this is old video, the problem solved now. Didn't remember how I fix it though.
@TheCopperwire dude come on i need the fix please!!!try hard
PS did you have lag whan new member comes on and you speak in Communications Room or when you go to your cabin i or stuff like that i need a fix please!!!
@GhostKiller85 Did you try the quick load method like everyone suggested in Bioware social forums? I think I did that to make the game run smooth. Like start load game, quick save then quick load.
Maybe try using Task manager to lower the processor affinity of the "MassEffect2.exe".
Ctrl+alt+del, click on process's, right click "MassEffect2.exe" then go to "Set Priority" and set it to one of the low settings. Not a higher setting and not the lowest one.

This game run perfectly on my pc except for dialogue audio. The dialogue sounds like they are talking out of a tin can.
Can someone help me out?
Talk to me people.
