I have a question. Do you know anything about pro-biotic denan yogurt drinks? They are small yogurt drinks that apparent have 1 billion good bacteria per serving. Is this something I could take to promote healthy bacteria in my stomach or is it a sales gimmick? Would eating yogurt promote healthy bacteria? What other foods would work? Thank you for your time.
Hey Sean, I've never noticed before in your videos or you blog radio shows, but the volume in this video was pretty low. Had a hard time hearing this one, even with my computer cranked up as loud as it would go. Could be my old age hearing but worth giving you a heads up. Thanks for all the great info!!!
Hey Sean, great video as always. Please email me a reading/book list on all you have been doing this year. christopher.silverton.thong@gmail.com thanks man.
question: what is the best source for this kind of bacteria? i know plain yogurt, without any additives is great, but doesnt it have lactic acid in it? and lactic acid is very bad for your muscles, so that would be a downside. am i correct with all this information?
Thank you Shawn for broadcasting such a diverse and knowledgeable set of voices via you show. I really appreciate the opportunity to hear from a wide variety of thinkers and experts =)
can you do a video about what to do when your about 10-12 % bodyfat and you cut out all your complex carbs and all you eat is protein fats and veggies and you still not losing weight .what do you do a that point to lose weight if thats not working.
WOW!! So excited to stumble upon this site! Can you be the new face of WAPF? I love me some Sally Fallon, but you're CUTE! Great little intro to gut flora, I look forward to checking out more videos. I'm trying to find a WAPFer's review on the new Wheat Belly Diet book. I'm an avid grain-soaker and healthy-fat-consumer and I'm curious about what mainstream media is latching onto now. Cheers!
So wait around 3:55, you mentioned that when bad bacteria enters the body the acidic environment in the stomach should be able to destroy it. BUT, all i ever seem to hear/see is that supposedly sickness and disease cannot exist when the body is in a neutral state. & apparantly an acidic state is in fact what causes sickness and disease to take over the body. Can you please please PLEASE talk about this in detail. Because now i'm very confused. Thanks so much Sean i truly appreciate all ur vids!
Your on fire right now blood, I love it! I'm reading the Body Ecology Diet(Lifestyle) and I'm also gonna make some Raw milk Kefir and Coconut water Kefir for me and my family so I know how important this message is. We need more info like this to hit the mainstream man!
Good info. I'm trying to help my mother get off her roller-coaster diet and all this is more fuel for my onslaught. *evil grin* She will get healthy if it's the last thing I do.
Hey sean u should make a vid on what the food pyramid should be like. I think vegetables should be unlimited, 2-4serv of fruit, legumes, and meat, & 1-2serv dairy/wheat/fat
@UndergroundWellness Saun you should have a product reviews section of your videos for products other than books. I've found this great supplement from Garden of Life called Raw Meal, but it would be cool to get Saun's stamp of approval!
@UndergroundWellness your a cut above the rest of bloggers. informative, smart, you relate to the viewer very well like a good teacher and your very likeable. because of all of this i find myself always watching your videos back n forth and love the new ones your coming out with because i've learnt ALOT from you and im always recycling it to people :) although the workout videos are a dime a dozen on youtube and sorry sean but they kind of fit into a generic cateogry unlike your informative vids
@UndergroundWellness Your workout videos are good and much appreciated, but we need more people like you, who refuse to simply parrot health and weight loss dogma, to keep the discussion from getting stale. Even where the dogma turns out to be right, there is always room for improvement, and that's where we need people like you to wade through the information and find better ways of reaching our goals by refining and/or correcting the status quo of health literature.
@UndergroundWellness I personally love everything you make. The podcasts are about the only thing I don't follow religiously. I really love the workout stuff, I think Brett is great! However, you are the ONLY resource for the educational videos. Thus, it's very very unique and this is why you get so much more traffic on them. I say you keep making the workout videos, but focus on the educational ones.
@UndergroundWellness The workout videos are what got me to this channel in the first place, and that's probably true for a lot of subscribers. What keeps me coming back are all these truth bombs you keep dropping!
@UndergroundWellness Just wanted to pop in and mention how much I appreciate the health themed vids coming back when I found some lots of people had already done it before me XD I watch *some* of the workout ones for fun, ignore the pod excepts (I listen to the podcasts instead), but the ones where you speak about health I follow like clockwork. Religiously. Truth bombs, check. Informative but not boring, check. Awesome "what-not's"-word drops, check.
@UndergroundWellness Sean your videos are inspiring, you are very interesting and charismatic, you are a joy to listen to and a great teacher to learn from. Keep up the incredible work, this world needs more amazing people like you. =)
@UndergroundWellness So many people post workout videos, so we don't need more of those. People need to know this stuff, and you're amazing at explaining it! Focus on this :)
@UndergroundWellness I haven't watched a workout video yet mostly due to the fact that I feel I know how to work out. I also like to think I know a lot about health but your videos on health are just new and fascinating to me. I'm sure the work out videos benefit the beginners though so your time didn't go to waste. I'll give them a watch some time though just incase I learn something new =)
@UndergroundWellness Nah to be honest, I don't watch the workout videos anymore because a lot of them require gear that I don't have easy access to (easiest is buying boo). I like simple, effective exercises that you can do quickly in a crowded gym.
So what should you eat to prevent the bad gut flora? Any suggestions? I really like your videos btw /Susi
