@copsinmyhouse i got this for 1100 from the second owner. no real mechanical problems just worn exterior. i think i bought it at about exactly one year ago. it was very worth it. it was my first dirtbike ever. and this video was taken a couple days after i got it. it was hard getting used to it but its easy to tool on now.

dont know if you found a anwser most likley clutch basket is grooved you can pull the disks out and inspect it if you let the bike warm up does it go away trans oil might be sticky making plates stick !!

i had a kx 250 and it did the same thing and it was the clutch basket and inner hub was all bad, your clutch is slipping. That and check your clutch cable and make sure it isnt streched

i just got a kx 250 yesterday and rode all day today it is sick but i have the same problem with first gear when i put it into first it wants to start going i think it is low on gear oil or since it was cold it was real thick but onece it warmed up it was fine

Yeah my '98KX250 will jump a little when I put it in gear but yours was completely ready for takeoff lol. Mine just jumps a little even when I do rev it.

@yamaharider12294 you might need new clutch plates, when you pull in the clutch and let it out again does it snap back? because it should. And cheque your outer clutch basket, there shouldn't be any groves in it. Hope i have been a help.

@yamaharider12294 Yeah that's probably because the oil was still really thick. This will happen if it's cold out or when the bike isn't fully warmed up (It takes longer for the gear oil to heat up than the bike to warm up, mind you. So it could very well just be that it was cold out.

first thing you should do is change the transmission oil and if that doesnt cure the clutch problem then you probably need a need clutch cuz the clutch is so wore out that its created grooves that get dirty oil stuck between them and in which cause the clutch to stick.
