Seems to me the dogs partner should be securing the bad guys free hand and getting him in cuffs. I know I'd be pissed at mine if he left the bad guy in a good position to clock me when I was in to it. I haven't had the chance to work with dogs, but do you really care if the bad guy gets chewed for the extra few seconds it takes to get the cuffs on???

no idiots, thats not the dog handler, its some random guy walking the streets, thats why he didnt know wat to do . look at 1:00 theres a guy walking on the right. thats the same guy that was at 1:10.
i may be wrong but i dont think the guy at the end is the handler, if you look at the street the guy runs into there is sumone already there. The handler look to me to be still a long way away about two streets back, plus the guy patting the dog doesnt look like he'd just ran after a dude. ihink he is just some random guy who doesnt really know why this dog is attacking the guy till the cops turn up probably seconds after the video ends

Great job by the K-9 but HORRIBLE handler work. Wou don't sit there while the dog is on the guy, you jump in and help you partner (K-9) with the suspect. This handler has a hard dog which is fortunate for him. A soft dog could shut down in a situation like this.
