@r1killen Stock tranny, over 84,000 miles pushing well over 600hp. still hanging together somehow...even with the year of track abuse. does have a total domination 2400 tq converter as a FTVB.

however i had 2 friends that kept blowing transmissions but they were towing 4 wheelers and i think once u start raising the payload to lets say 2 bikes thats were the pain starts as they each only weigh well my light r1 373lbs.

@r1killen If you put it in second like that its very very very bad i used to do it to this 9 second camnaro i had with a 4200 stall because it would actually slow it down a bit and that was the only way i could get her to hook but it heats the seals and fluid super quick........my third lightning had 22 pound of ported eatong boost but my kenne bell at 10 pounds destroys it

@MMShaggy Im not gonna lie i used to be super hard on mine i mean i would downshift it so hard it would squeel second and never a issue. but 2nd gear is not a gear u wanna do burnouts in the stress it puts on the tranny bands etc even though it feels safer but hey im on your side lol lightning for life till i die towing bikes while smoking vetts

@MMShaggy weird i know this one guy who kept going thru tranny's he owned a car shop. i abused mine even raced while towing my bike on the back and my tranny never ever gave me not 1 problem for 100k so I think u get lucky and also how u break it in

@r1killen I fail to see how messing around with what controls the valve body is going to damage the torque converter at all, I shift all the time in a 120,000 mile Camry, and the transmission is fine... Sitting at stall and launching does far more damage to the torque converter vanes due to cavitation than not letting it shift ever could.

man that must be fun mine just had a 6 lbs pulley w/ full bolt ons and it was scary fast. my friends used to give me shit for not manually shifting but that tranny can do fine on its own, especially with the right mods. all you need to do is keep it pointed in the right direction.
