I think Aniello Desiderio is a world-class guitarist and I do love his executions. This one is technically impeccable and very expressive; however, I think the guitarist here takes a little too much liberty on the tempo. Other than that, this is the amazing as usual Desiderio.
hmmm this guy is good. Although .. you may not know.. he is a natural vampire and also has a picture in the cellar of him growing much older than his years!!!
@dereksmallsuk you mean Dorian Grey? that was deep!:) I think Aniello is gret enough to do anything he wants! I was listening him 3 times in concerts (I mean live) and everytime it was great, you know, sometimes even HD is not enough to take all things clear...
This guy is amazing. Just another one of those unknown Italian masters who make most popular guitarists look bad. Everyone should check out this guy's Scarlatti interpretations; they are sublime!
in this type of videos, nothing better than play snake while you listen... how to do it?? just press left or right arrow and up arrow at the same time while the video is running or pause... try it
Hi my Dear friend! Greeting from Russia! My compliment for your marvelous channel. You very good musician!! You very great guitarist! To be your friend, that's an honour for me!!! Sorry for my imperfect English:))
Will you people just shut up about who you think is better??? You all sound just plain stupid. The idiot who chimes in about who is hotter is ESPECIALLY STUPID. Oh and oh dear it seems a bit rushed. DESIGNATOR, put up your own perfect version, then you can perch and spout your useless crap.
egotistical guitarists like yngwie are owned by this one. he looks humble which should be. because playing music should not be done with hubris in mind
One of two guitarists to approach maestro Segovia's mellifluous tone and easily carried virtuosity - the other one is Manuel Barrueco, of course. This guitarist brings out both the humour & elegance of the composition.

actually if you read the piece you'll see that since the beginning he doesn't keep the bass notes as they are written
also he has no rythm which kills any purpose for the song, especially the third movement of this beautiful piece
also on the 2nd variation(from 2:00) as it is in the script he should let the bass string, the way he does it sounds like a children's song, which again kills any beauty in this

i am not impressed at all
why doesn't he keep the bass notes constantly; that's what makes the song so enjoyable...
it seems it is impossible for classical guitar players to hold the rythm when they try to play a song, probably that's what they think is personalisation
all in all a good attempt to play this marvel of a piece
I know he was from Alexandria my lateteacher was his childhood friend and he gave him the first lessons, actualy Lagoya 'steacher was Presti he didnt played that good when he arrived to France.
The best italian music interpreter was Alexandre Lagoya his mother was italian,he was by far the best,Bream could not match him in Italian composers.Nice to hear Aniello do it justice here in a correct perfomance

Yes, he plays well. But, please do not go to extremes. If you play gitar many years, you should have understood so far that Julian Bream is one of the greates ones ever. For example, listen to Bream's interpretation of this piece. Also, Juanjo Dominguez can be considered to be better than Julian Bream in many respects. Just listen!
Thanks for the advice. May be you should follow your own advice too. I have a feeling that these prices are given by people who listen. Aniello is considered the guitarist of the century by many. Just listen :)
Which century? 20th or 21st? If 20th, what happened to Segovia, Bream, all others. If 21st, who named him as just 9 year passed? There will be no other guitarist until 2101? After Bream's interpretation of this piece, look at this interpretation. Just listen :)
bream won tons of awards includes multiple grammy's. He plays every type of music with MASTERY. He plays the lute, baroque guitar, and the vilhuela. He is the better guitarist.
But I can not encapsulate his genius, as you have attempted to, in words. Listen to the music.
My, that's incredible! Terrific! Wonderful performance Aniello. Congratulations! May I Know the name of the luthier of your guitar? You and she are perfect match! GREAT!!!

wow! 5 stars! I'd say its too fast because its SO much faster than I've ever heard played but the speed doesn't take away from the piece at all! He has so much control at this speed!

I wonder what Segovia would have said upon hearing such a virtuoso, greater than himself...
I don't know, but I don't think it would have been "muy bien"... Not to this one.
More like he would have gone to the bathroom and furiously slammed the door shut behind him ...
