In defense of the Kawai. From the sound of it, it is not kept in a very friendly place.

Sounds very heavy, humidity like surrounding.

I think the piano is off pitch somewhat, but at what pitch it is at, sounds very nice.

The action is sluggish because of the humidity that it is kept in.

We have a Steinway also, which is kept in the same space, and it was never that bad.

We've since swapped pianos with one another Kawai from another room, and it's much nicer... unless you need to play in that other room now...

The piano part is in print actually--it's from a book of Vince Guaraldi transcriptions of his other work, including a couple of other Charlie Brown tunes. Just looked on Amazon--there are two books now, both called The Vince Guaraldi Collection. There's a new one transcribed by Philip Keverin, and the Piano / Artist Transcription, which is what I was using. I'd think the new one might be a bit better? There were some mistakes in the one I was using.
