She was never really being compassionate. The intention is what determines compassion not the act. Her actions proved otherwise. She was sympathetic initially but perhaps her pride is what got her killed. Still, a very well told story with good direction and acting.

Overall... good idea, some scenes were way to long and the cupboard scene was unrealistic - the keyhole, the light, her reaction - interesting ending and good cinematography.

and the guy doesn't sniff at his shoe, but he notices a smell... but he's not sure about where it comes from... shoes do smell sometimes after too much wearing, so he thinks the smell might come from the boots... got it? ;)

It was a very good idea. I would have liked to seen more linking shots to make the product easier to watch. Alot of scenes were drug out so long when they needn't be more then a several seconds.

Great movie! It showed how the woman's desire to be compassionate was skewed by her preconceptions about the man. It led her to ultimately hide from the very person who could rescue her. She ends up killing herself as she lashes out in desperation and fear. After her death, the man is arrested, because it LOOKED like he had killed her.

This was almost perfect. Long, slow drawn out scenes to frustrate us and make us long to know what happens next. The tiny amount of dialogue. The mystery of the man - why is he not phased by the money?

The tainted morals of a woman - who we don't get to know, the less we know about her the less we know what her actions are and why she behaves that way. Seemingly trying to help but having the human trait of being nosey.

The phrase curiosity killed the cat springs to mind. I was gripped.
