Paul Emmick had such a smooth vocal delivery when he did reporting at the Weather Channel. I don't know why he left them... but I thought the WX Channel made a mistake in letting him go.
I always like it when the meteorologist leave their screen and go back to their desks before the commercial break. I guess they don't do that anymore.
(Please reply to me) Do you have a WeatherSTAR XL (v1 or v2 will do) clip with the original 1 minute flavor? (Current Conditions, Regional Conditions, Regional Forecast, Extended Forecast, Radar) If you do please upload it, because I REALLY want to see it!
Arch Kennedy worked in Nashville at WZTV-TV for a while...he seemed a little condescending to the viewers to me when he worked here. Still a good guy though, but he seems like more the broadcaster.
But anyway, these were the good ol' days of TWC, back before it was ALL GLOBAL WARMING ALL THE TIME. Whether or not you agree with it or not, you have to agree, it's just not TWC unless it's all weather all the time.

Even here, in 2001, The Weather Channel still had that magic, but I could tell it was starting to lose it somewhat.

Yep, and he's a WKU grad...he and Lori Farmer. Good to have good weather minds working in Louisville.

Cool! I work at the same weather station where Paul got his start many moons ago (WEHT-TV here in Evansville.)

It's my man, Arch Kennedy! I remember laughing at his name, when I was younger. What a horrible child I was.

That's because they moved to the current building sometime during 2000 or 2001.

Actually, they moved there in 1997 and made the Global Forecast Center overhaul in August 2001.

The American Flag seen on this video represents 9/11/01, the day the Twin Towers were destroyed by terrorists.

That's right. I know that.
