I admit that our current leader is a SHIT, Berlusconi is a mafia-dwarf who goes with underage women and a DISGRACE for the country.
But you are NOT Italian, so you KNOW NOTHING of what is the "South" of Italy, something that us Northeners HATE because it drops bad reputation and shame over us, WHO ARE ANOTHER STOCK OF PEOPLE.

About the mafia, I wish to remember that is NOT an "Italian" (Southern Italian) invention, there were ALREADY Jewish and Irish mafias -not to mention the "common" anglo criminals- in the USA BEFORE the "Italians" arrived.

Its something of a tradition here that when two blokes fight they either hate each other or become good friends for life over a beer or two. I hope we can endeavor towards the second option.

Gottsy45 Italians never supported Fascist Italy like there was mass popular support for it in Germany. This is a historical fact. In fact Mussolini only seized power through a coup d'etat whereas in Germany it had a massive base of popularity. My grandfathers both of them fought as partisans. Italian fascism was totally different from the racist German version. Also you will find 1.2 million Italians ( many born italy) fought for US in WW2 names like John basilone, Gino Merli and Don Gentile etc

To Sanjivkhan: I could almost agree with you. To have presented an argument built upon fact and evidence gives you credence and credibility.
But I did say almost.
Until 1901 Australia was a British colony and acts were committed by mostly INDIVIDUALS and not a government. After the federation of the Australian nation the government brought these events to an eventual stop. Condemn the British by all means, I believe the fault lies with them too.
