I find the presentation, the persona of these German men and women who grew up under Nazism, to be terribly sad - unlike older people in countries without so heavy a psychological burden to bear, they seem to be stuck in permanent adolescence, giving them a youthful mien that is vaguely disturbing. One sees the same thing in the faces of old criminals who have never known life outside in the world. They were innocents indoctrinated into pure evil. Yet they are not blameless.
