  • Nice review. Thanks for taking your own time so other people can benefit from your experience with this equipment.

  • Come on dude, talk a little clearer. I couldn't sit thru the video cause it was going too slowly with all your ahhhhs

  • Carry it 24/7 if I had one.@3:45 Up to ten contacts. A man got lost in his car just driving in AZ last week he was not found for a week. He survived by drinking the water from the washer reservior.Cell could go out like in KATRINA you could loose power to your fon like the old man did or just be out of tower range. One man's dad had heart atk turned around to go back family got the 911 alert described his truck to police to find him ambulance was there to save dad.

  • In true emergencies most if not all SAR is FREE.

  • @GungHo1032

This is true, but they cost a fortune, batteries have to be replaced every 5 years or so which also costs a fortune, there is no real way to verify that the unit works, and they can only be used once and then have to be returned to the manufacturer. The only time SPOT has failed to get a message through has been in the canyons. SPOT also has the insurance which I like. Not too crazy about paying a search and rescue bill if i dont have to.

  • @GungHo1032 whats sar?

  • @CreazioniPinnacolo - SAR...Search and Rescue.

  • @sasktank - Yeah, ten minutes. Sorry to say the technology needed to beam help to you only exists on Star Trek at this time.

  • AUUUUUM UUUUM AUUUUM uuuum uuuuua aaaauumm uuuumm mmmmaaaa....

  • @TheTurbinator

    You're right,,,, Aaaaaauuummm

why does he not know how to talk. Is this normal Am.eng ?

They should put in the gramer for a word that is Aaauuumm, that means either: brain have used too much crack or bear for along time.

  • nice in-depth review. thanks

  • "Way out in the middle of nowhere like Alaska or Canada" hahaha! there's bush and cities in Canada! just like in the U.S.

Not all of Canada is frozen tundra.

    Stereotypical U.S. American !

  • @songthirtyone Maybe he meant that as a general reference, sure not all of Canada is frozen tundra but it's a lot colder and I'm sure a bit more dangerous than it is down here in the US. You sure do pick apart words.

  • @songthirtyone Ok... But Canada does have frozen tundra. Listen buddy I'm not trying to insult Canada or anything at all, I'm just saying it's colder there than it is here... People get lost and die in both countries all the same. All I'm saying is that this guy was just trying to prove a point that's it.

  • I figured he was trying to prove a point because I'm fairly certain this review wasn't scripted, you can tell by the way he talks that he's making it up as he goes (my honest guess) . I personally believe that the first thing that came to his head was Alaska and Canada because they're up North and they're colder than the rest of the continent, I'm fairly certain he meant nothing by it. Regardless I apologize for anything I said that offended you, I meant no harm, sorry, goodbye.

  • no, offence taken, we are just talking... cheers.

  • Decent review but way to long.
