This in its original form on TV at the time was split into 4 parts.

It instantly gave credibility to the Mankind character, and bridged the gap between his Cactus Jack fans and the new fans and new exposure he had in WWF at the time.

The cool thing about Foley's 3 gimmicks, is, unlike guys like Kane and Festus, who've been reused for various characters, Foley's gimmicks acually make up ONE character.

it is a true story about him, but he overstates it. For example, he didn't eat a big worm like he said on part 1, he only ate a little one. but it is a true story about him, you can hear about his real childhood at three faces of Foley.

I think it was interviews like this that convinced Vince McMahon that his wrestling product could be a hell of a lot more entertaining if his performers' characters were less outrageous "gimmicks" and more of an extension of their real personalities. (Foley's real background was certainly more interesting than Mankind's fictional one.)

The "Attitude" era would begin not long after this. Coincidence?

Same...I don't think Mick was a fan of it as much as Cactus or Mankind. Mankind was the most entertaining I think. The only things that made Cactus Jack as great was his feuds with Triple H and Terry Funk. Basically, anything outside of WWE as Cactus was great. Triple H was the only decent Cactus Jack feud he had in WWE.
