  • So sad to hear about Kathy Ann Rae. I always loved the New Seekers & she was a fine replacement for Lyn Paul

  • I was at school with Kathy Ann Rae and saw her blossom from singing hymns in the schools assembly and at the schools Christmas shows before going on to sing with the New Seekers. I just read today that she died back in January 2011of cancer, such sad sad news. She was known at school as Ann Kelly, Kathy Ann Rae was her adopted stage name..

    RIP

  • This song is a perfect anthem for those servicemen and women returning home to their families and friends at parties and the like. Sad to read that Kathy Ann Rae died this year at just 53.

  • Watching BBc4 just now, I was only 5 then, dont really remember it tbh, but its very appropriate, gonna play it next wk end when I welcome my son home from Afghanistan on his 2 wks R&R :)

  • 1 of my fav new seekers numbers, my memorable 70s tune...sad that this era has gone forever with the bee gees, abba, patridge family, osmonds, etc. sigh...

  • the sexiest women in the seventies Eve Graham!

  • sad to hear kathy died yesterday, god bless.

  • I had never heard this song until recently when i was surfing The New Seekers Site. I can't stop singing it. I wish I had seen the New seekers perform when they were in the states. What a refreshing sound they had and they are so fantastic to look at!

  • good memories from old time...

  • Eve Graham is so hot

  • I was so glad then that they got back together, Eve strong as ever, with a great comeback album (Together again), but unfortunately it didn't last long. Eve & Danny left after 78 and the music really wasn't as good as before. The last album Anthem was very weak, except for the 2 single hits and Eve's only solo on that one. But her comeback album The Mountains welcome me home from 2005 is really great and worth buying, it even contains some New Seekers songs

  • bring on the Sex Pistols!

  • @AyeWeCan They wernt far away would liked them to have done this song.

  • The best line up was :Eve Graham, Lyn Paul, Marty Kristian, Peter Oliver and Paul Layton.

Benoni45 - Eve & Danny got married when they left the group

  • Yes, indeed....it was on the cards here!

  • Great group but the band KENNY do the best version of this.......look them up "It's soooo Niiiiice !!!!"

  • I love Eve's dress on this video!

  • Does anyone else notice how Eve looks across at Danny At 2:03? Very nice for them!

  • yes! very nice!!

  • Nice post years since i last heard this one.

  • whatever happened to peter oliver...?

  • Loved this group so much - met the original line up years ago in Scarborough of all places - kissed Eve, Lyn & Marty (boy I was so in love with Marty) Here we have Paul, Marty, Eve, Kathy Anne Rae and Danny Boyle - great track

  • Danny Boyle?? Think maybe your are getting mixed up with Peter Doyle and Danny Finn. This is Danny Finn!

  • How can anybody not like this. Super Sound!!

  • is that danny finn there in the black jacket

  • Yes it is!

  • Great song wonder why it only managed no 44 in the charts!

  • They were awesome especially Lyn Paul, who sang me a song sat on my lap for my 18th birthday, after she had gone solo.

  • You're right, it was 1976. I've changed the title info.

  • @matthe50 this will be on totp on thursday the 14th july on bbc4 at 7.30pm

  • This clip is actually from 1976!

  • never knew that these done the original of this !! got the `kenny` (the bump) version which i prefer.

  • Kenny recorded this?

  • just gone online for first time and i am new seekers biggest fan.met lyn paul last year.

  • You're the New Seekers' 'biggest fan' are you? You met Lyn Paul 'last year'? Some of us met her (and the rest of the band, including the late Peter Doyle) in the very early seventies, mate.

  • Eve Graham is totally fit!!
