That's poker 101, intimidation tactics, especially with that K sitting there, she didn't want a turn or river card to threaten her set so she killed it there and then. Small sets are easy to hide, hard to defend.
1.) the board does not offer any big draws except if som1 had 6-5
2,) she is in the pot with two very aggressive opponents

The problem with this is obvious since it is your opponent that controls the action, and it usually includes some kind of risky bluff at some point during the hand. Anyway if you're looking to start poker without risk you can take free 50 $ from Pokerfrik website ;)
