  • is this really deleted? It seems like such an important scene, especially since James is in it haha, ok now I have to go finally watch this movie

  • thumbs up if you've been randomly searching James Marsters clips since 11

  • Wait...James fucking Marsters was in that movie?!?! OMG?!?! Why wasn't his name on the cast list a friend gave me when she saw the movie?!?! (Her theater had that a week b4 mine) So, I coulda seen it and I never.....dammit!!! *goes home and watches all 7 of her Bufyy seasons.*

  • Dam still sexy as a sin but sexier as spike

  • You know I somehow knew that they will name their son Garry =)

  • oh my god. is it weird that he is SO FUCKIN SEXY <3 but he's a year younger than my dad?

    whatever

    who cares??? beautiful beautiful man!!!!!!!

  • JAMES IS SO SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats an adorable scene! why would they cut it out?? i dont get all that hate against hillary swank. i think she's a sweetheart and good in the movie

  • They should have kept this scene in. I loved it.

  • I just saw this movie for the first time and I agree that they should have left this scene in. Afterall, they showed Holly apologizing to Denise for not returning her calls so they should have shown this, too. Maybe the promise was that Gerry would give him his guitar one day!

  • Ok, I actually love that movie. Everyone is saying that it sucked, but I loved it. I cry everytime I watch it, and James, Harry and Gerard are so freakin' GORGEOUS in the movie.

  • what a bitchy friend... but James Marsters is smokin as usual

  • I actually really liked this movie. not a very good fan of Hilary Swank but the story was pretty cute. but they shouldnt have cut this scene out. in fact, james marsters should've had more scenes in this movie cause that would have made this movie much better.

  • @Ketch67 Mr. Marsters and Kathy Bates were definitely the highlights of the movie for what little of the film they were in it. It was a fairly bad movie, but there are some funny bits here and there. I'd recommend renting it or borrowing it from a friend if you would like to see it for yourself.

  • @fenderlove I actually just saw the end on tv yesterday. It wasn't too bad, though I missed every james marsters part! I think it would have been better if it hadn't been Hillary Swank. no good.

  • @Ketch67 dude, James Marsden is a completely different person. he was Cyclops in Xmen. this is James MARSTERS. and actually this movie made me laugh and cry. it was really good.

  • @Ketch67 its acually a really nice movie. Not awful - sentimental.

  • @Ketch67 its actually a really nice movie. Not awful - sentimental.

  • FUCK this is a terrible movie

But i watched it ,cuz James Marsters is in it

  • but what was the promise???

  • @ilovebadkitties They never say in the movie, and I haven't read the book, so I couldn't tell you. It might have something to do with giving John the limousine business they shared ownership of after his death.

  • God, I miss my best friend...

Not that he's dead, thank God. Just absent from my life. I miss him even more because of that.

  • I saw this movie a long time ago and I didn't know James Marsters was in the movie!!!

  • It still sounds weird to hear him without the accent.

  • @axhfan James Marsters accent isn't missing totally. I can hear it in the undertones. It's also there throughout the movie in specific scenes. However, bear in mind that I spent 10+ yrs working as medical transcriptionist for a large teaching hospital. Over time as an MT you learn to develop and ear for sounds, changes in tone, & even specific dialects that are tells as to where a person grew up. I've got a Georgia accent b/c that's where I learned to talk & it's set by the age of 3-5yrs old.

  • @axhfan An accent does "color" over time but the base accent remains the same. Both my kids have Georgia accents only the oldest's is not as strong as the youngest b/c she spent time in daycare & w/sitters while I worked where the little one was home w/me from the day she was born until she went to school in kindergarten. Her accent is too pronounced for her to lose it unless she goes through dialect training. Voice/Diction in college. Learned why I never lost my accent & how the girls got it.

  • @PaisleyPlace he's not actually british, he's from california. this isnt his normal voice either, he's putting a bit of a southern twang on certain words

  • @Echelonninja Thx for the info. I had no idea he was from the states. It still gets to me when I hear Hugh Laurie speaking perfect American English then hearing his Brit accent when he gives interviews or I catch him on a program where he's in the film, documentary, series (ie. I Bit of Fry & Laurie). He has a great grasp on both so I gather he's had major voice training to fake such an accent but in House MD, his Brit accent comes out when he says some words or uses a Brit word not used here.

  • this scene should've been in the movie it has such heart especially cos of James Marsters he stole that scene

  • this should have been in the movie.. i love p.s ilove you, as it is, but they shouldn't have cut this scen! ;P

  • KILL HER ! SPIKE KILL HER

  • @airrick

I don't know who you are but I'm pretty sure I love you, lol.

  • i <3 you too :D

  • same with me :D

  • haha

  • Thank you SO much for this scene! I read the book first and the best friend speech was one of my favourite moments, so I was really sad it wasn't in the movie. After watching it now, I don't understand why it was cut! James was brilliant, (as usual) and his best scene should've been in the movie!

  • @littlegoblin hey, since you've read the book, maybe you know what promise Gerry is talking about in his letter ? :)

(and i agree this scene SHOULD be in the movie !!!)

  • this scene made me cry so much when i watched it actually i cry everytime i see it its so emotional it so should have been in the movie

  • This is beautiful!! Why on EARTH did they cut this?

  • They should have left this IN!!!! I LOVE this movie! And the music.... So perfect!

  • Swank and Marsters in the same movie? Way to go, James!

  • if it wasn't for james marsters in this film i would have turned it off after 5 minutes. man i hate romantic films.

  • ¿Cómo le eliminan escenas a James Marsters? encima que sale poco, le eliminana!! si es el mejor actor de toda la película, y encima atrae espectadores (como yo) y le eliminan la escena! no tiene ni nombre jaajaja

  • Oh god, they cut too much of James in this movie. He was really good in it. :(

    <3

  • @chywigley He's good on everything that he does.

  • si supiera lo k dice...

  • uh what was the promise???

  • They never say in the movie, and I haven't read the book, so I couldn't tell you. It might have something to do with giving John the limousine business they shared ownership of after his death.

  • that he'd die before James Marsters character.

  • WHY DID THEY DELETE THAT??? Oh, my God. Not only was that an important statement as to the character of Gerry (Jerry?), but it also gave James the opportunity to shine through, even though he was a supporting role! Okay, maybe that's why they cut it. :(

  • Defenitely needed to be in the movie. This is a great scene.

  • What series is this from? x

  • It's a deleted scene from the film P.S. I Love You with Hilary Swank.

  • This should have been in the movie!!

  • I definitely agree.

  • I know. shouldn't that have been in the movie!? It would have made it a better movie to me. ;D

  • definitely should've been in the movie

  • Agreed! :D

  • what movie is this??????????

  • It's P.S. I Love You.

  • i did not know he was in this movie

  • Even James thought he was boring in this movie, but this scene would have done wonders to make it better. James is such an emotional actor and brings out the best in other actors. I don't think Buffy would have gone 7 years without James to carry SMG. You can check out his comments about the movie in the 6 videos of Rosenbaum and Marsters Dragon Con 08, very funny videos.

  • Spike was always my favourite character on Buffy but to say that he carried SMG and he is the reason the show lasted 7 years is ridiculous. There are many reasons that the show lasted as long as it did.

  • James, I love him. This is such a really nice scene, why did they delete it? James was barely in any of the actual movie, this is the one of now my favorite scenes now. I love both James and Gerard. Thanks for the great scene. :D

  • I agree with everyone who's said that this scene should've been in the movie! It was so touching and so simple at the same time. I love the movie anyway, but this little bit about Gerry and John's friendship would've been amazing to watch.

James Marsters is an incredible actor. He makes the simplest lines so emotionally powerful. (e.g. "P.S. I told you I'd keep my promise)

  • which movie is this ^

i wanna see it so bad !

  • This is from P.S. I Love You.

It's not really a good movie, and this scene isn't in the finished film, just on the DVD. XD

  • What is the promise that Gerry kept?

    x

  • I think it has something to do with their limo driving business. When Gerry died, he left the entire thing to John. At least, I think that's what he's talking about. ^_~

  • Ahh yes i didnt think of that.

    Thanks for replyin..

And thankyou for loading this scene on..

    Its the best additional scene.

    x

  • Damn, they should have at least kept the best friend speech! He's got so much presence (like jamesgirl208 said) and emotion even when he says the simplest things and it made me think it would break my heart if I ever lost my best friend.

  • I KNOW!

he' such a good actor, I was about to cry

  • i am crying

  • Thanks for posting this - I REALLY wish that this had been in the movie .. a little more of his best friend (portrayed so wonderfully by James) would have made the movie even better! (And I did really like the movie just as it was!!!)

  • Yes, he is. <3

  • wonderfoul scene!!! why they didn't use it for the movie?! :(

    james is great!!! :P

  • Why wasn't this in the movie!?! Cuz when I saw this in theatre I thought story wise the guy's best friend would be real sad too..worth acknowledging..plus always need more James Marsters! I love James Marsters, thanks for posting!

  • He is so good in this, and he plays the beginning of one of his songs (Too fast I think???). Such a shame that was delated!

  • I believe the song he starts to play is "Poor Robin." I wish this scene had made it into the movie; it might have made it bearable.

  • I Liked the move as it was to. Okay, more of James would have been nice :) But I liked it.

And I still think it is too fast. I listend to both songs and the beginnings are pretty alike.

  • You are my hero!! lol thanks I did not see James in the previews so I never went to go see the movie. but I can't wait to see it.

  • Thank you for sharing these scenes! ;)I've watched this movie only because James! I'm not a fan of movies like these. I was disappointed, because I wanted to see more scenes with him in this long and boring movie. Why they deleted these scenes, especially this one!? It is a shame!!!

  • James has such presence, I always gets sucked in, even when it's a quiet scene like this.
